Coach's Comments --
“Star has participated in our Shawnee Bear Runs for a
number of years and we knew she was the kind of runner we
wanted on the cross country team. She gives 110% effort all the time.
She excels in athletics and she is also an honor
student!” 2004 Season -- Star
had an outstanding freshman season. She had 3 top ten
finishes on the year and led the squad in 2 meets. She
placed 6 times on the Bears' Top 25 All-Time Fastest list.
She became just the second female Bear to compete in the
NAIA National Championship Meet thanks to a 13th place
finish at the AMC/NAIA Region IX Championship Meet.
She earned 2nd Team All-AMC honors.
Jackson High School --
Star was an All- District runner for 4 years and a regional
qualifier her freshman, sophomore and junior years.
She battled an ankle injury during her senior season.
She has recorded a personal best time of
21:11.
