| Coach's Comment -- Jennifer
is another of the outstanding freshman recruits. Her high
school teams were constant challengers for the Michigan XC
and track state championships. A very competitive runner!
She really likes to run and will challenge for a top five
spot on the team. She should run in the 19:00's!
2002 Season -- Jennifer
red-shirted after sustaining a season-ending injury in the
opening meet.
Ypsilanti High School -- During
her high school career, Nichols won all-conference honors in
both track and cross-country.
She led her cross-country squad to four consecutive
conference championships and a regional runner-up.
As a sophomore, she helped lead her track team to the
Michigan State Championship.
Up-Close -- Jennifer is
the daughter of Robert and Deborah Nichols. Jennifer one day
would like to attend medical school and become a doctor. She
chose Shawnee State because of the atmosphere the coaches
and team provided.
