November 3 @ AMC Championship Meet (@ Rio Grande)
Patricia Morris ran the 2nd fastest time (20:31) in school history on her way to a 31st place finish. Kim Howard covered the 5000 meter course in 20:43 and finished in 34th place, 5th on SSU’s all-time list. Holly Amlin, Erica Scheuffele, and Ashley Thomas  rounded out the scoring for Shawnee State.
 
October 26 @ Shawnee State Invitational
Patricia Morris and Kimberly Howard recorded the first and second fastest times ever by Shawnee State runners as the Bears captured their 4th consecutive Shawnee State Invitational.  Morris covered the 3-mile course in 20:21 to take 3rd place overall while Howard captured 5th place in a time of 20:34.  Holly Amlin, Ashley Thomas, and Becky Holden rounded out the scoring for SSU.
 
October 19 @ Wilmington Fall Classic
Every runner on the Shawnee State squad ran her season best time as Shawnee State finished 4th out of 11 teams at the 9th Annual Wilmington College Fall Classic.  Patricia Morris paced the Bears with a 16th place finish.  Her time of 20:39 is the second fastest ever by an SSU runner.  Kim Howard recorded the 4th fastest time (20:49) in SSU history.  Erica Scheuffele placed 5th on the all-time list with a time of 21:01.  Ashley Thomas' time of 21:06 ranks 8th.  Holly Amlin ran the course in 21:14 to place 10 on the all-time list.  
 
October 13 @ The Legends
Shawnee State finished 2nd out of 5 teams at the 26th Annual Legends Meet at Ashtabula.  Lansing College edged out the Bears 15-16 in the 3-person scoring format.  Patricia Morris covered the 3.25 mile course in 23:19 as she finished 2nd overall.  Becky Holden finished 5th and Ashley Thomas was 9th.  
 
October 6 @ Rio Grande Invitational
Shawnee State finished 4th out of 12 teams at the 31st Annual Rio Grande Invitational.  Patricia Morris recorded the fourth fastest time (21:05) in SSU history on her way to 18th place finish.  Erica Scheuffele, Ashley Thomas, Kim Howard, and Holly Amlin each recorded their best time of the season.
 
September 29 @ Greensboro Invitational
Shawnee State finished 6th out of 19 teams in the Greensboro Invitational.  Patricia Morris recorded the 4th fastest time in SSU history as she covered the 5K course in 21:08.  Ashley Thomas, Erica Scheuffele, Holly Amlin, and Becky Holden recorded their best times of the season.
 
September 22 @ Big Blue Challenge
Shawnee State had their best performance of the season as they finished 2 out of 8 teams at the Big Blue Challenge in Camp Creek, WV.  The Bears missed out on their second championship of the season by just one point.  Each SSU runner recorded a personal best time for the season.  Patricia Morris led the Bears with a 3rd place finish.  She covered the course in 21:19 which is the 7th fastest time in school history.  Rachel McClintic, Ashley Thomas, Kim Howard, and Holly Amlin rounded out the scoring for Shawnee State.
 
September 15 @ Forest Festival Invitational

The Shawnee State University Cross Country Teams took on a host of NCAA Division II teams over the weekend at the Forest Festival Invitational in Elkins, WV.  The Bears faired well as they finished 5th out of 12 teams.  Patricia Morris led the women’s team with a 27th place finish.  Morris covered the 5k-course in a time of 24:36.  Erica Scheuffele placed 29th with a time of 24:54.  Kim Howard, Ashley Thomas, and Rachel McClintic rounded out the scoring for the Bears.

 
September 7 @ Kentucky Christian Invitational
Shawnee State opened the 2001 season by capturing the Kentucky Christian Invitational.  The Bears took the top 4 spots in the race and six out of the top 10.  Patricia Morris won the overall championship in her collegiate debut.  Kimberly Howard, Erica Scheuffele, Rachel McClintic, and Holly Amlin rounded out the scoring for Shawnee State.
