finished 9th out of 16 teams competing in the NAIA Region IX
Meet. They were 9th among 13 American Mideast Conference
schools. Kim Howard paced the Bears as she finished 34th
overall in a time of 21:52. Holly Amlin, Erica Scheuffele,
Renee Rymer and Corrin Holbrook rounded out the top 5 for Shawnee
State.

SSU Invitational
|
|
Shawnee State
captured its 3rd consecutive SSU Invitational meet as they took
the top 6 spots in the race. Erica Scheuffele set new course
record as well as a new school record with a time of 20:37.
Kim Howard, Holly Amlin, Leigh Ann Wallace, Corrin Holbrook, and
Renee Rymer finished 2-6.

Wilmington Fall Classic
|
|
Shawnee State
finished 10th out of 21 teams at the Eighth Annual Wilmington
College Fall Classic. Erica Scheuffele finished 28th overall
as she ran the fastest time in SSU history (20:46). Kim
Howard finished 37th overall with a time of 21:20. Holly
Amlin, Corrin Holbrook, and Leigh Ann Wallace rounded out the top
five finishers for the Bears.

The Legends (Ashtabula, OH)
|
|
Shawnee State
finished 4th out of 5 teams at The Legends meet in Ashtabula,
OH. In unique race which only requires three runners to
compile a team score, Bears runners placed 7th (Kim Howard), 12th
(Erica Scheuffele), and 13th (Corrin Holbrook). Holly Amlin
and Leigh Ann Wallace placed 14th and 17th respectively.

Rio Grande Invitational
|
|
Shawnee State
finished 3rd out of 9 teams in the 30th Annual Rio Grande
Invitational. Erica Scheuffele and Kim Howard led the Bears
as they finished 9th and 11th respectively. Corrin Holbrook,
Holly Amlin, and Leigh Ann Wallace all finished in the top 20 to
secure the Bears' third place finish.

@ Pikeville Invitational
|
|
The Bears won
their 2nd meet of the season as they took 6 of the top 10 places
at the 1st Annual Pikeville Invitational. Kim Howard, Erica
Scheuffele, and Holly Amlin ran 1-2-3 for the Bears. Corrin
Holbrook and Renee Rymer finished 6th and 7th to round out the top
5 for Shawnee State. The victory marked the first meet
championship for Howard.

@ Big Blue Challenge
|
|
Shawnee State
finished 2nd out of 6 teams in the Big Blue Challenge at
Bluefield. Erica Scheuffele returned from injury to finish
3rd overall. Kimberly Howard finished 8th; Holly Amlin
placed 11th; Corrin Holbrook and Renee Rymer rounded out the SSU
top five as they finished 17th and 20th respectively.

@ Winthrop Invitational
|
|
Despite top
runner Erica Scheuffele being side lined with an injury, Shawnee
State managed to finish 9th out of 13 teams in the 16th Annual
Winthrop Invitational. Kimberly Howard, Holly Amlin, Corrin
Holbrook, Danielle Sims-Smith and Renee Rymer were the top five
finishers for the Bears. Nearly every runner improved upon
last week's time.

@ Kentucky Christian College
|
|
Shawnee State
dominated the meet at Kentucky Christian College taking 7 of the
top 13 spots. Erica Scheuffele broke her own course record
as she covered the 3 mile track in 21:49. Kimberly Howard
finished second with a time of 22:16. This marks the second
consecutive year the Bears have captured the Kentucky Christian
Meet.
