EASTMOOR ACADEMY'S
HALL AND MARION FRANKLIN'S MITCHELL SIGNS WITH SSU
The Shawnee State women's basketball team picked up
their fifth and sixth recruit for the recruiting class of
2010. Catrice Mitchell from Marion Franklin and
De'Andra Hall from Eastmoore Academy have both signed a
letter of intent to continue their basketball careers at
Shawnee State University.Mitchell
averaged 18 points, 12 rebounds, 4 steals, 2 assists as a
senior at Marion-Franklin. She earned 3rd team
all-district honors in basketball and 1st team all-city
honors in volleyball.
While attending Shawnee State, Catrice
will be majoring in Accounting.
Hall, a four-year guard at Eastmoor
Academy averaged 14 points, four rebounds, five assists, and
three steals a game. She was named 1st team all-city,
first team all-district and earned honorable mention
All-Ohio honors.
Hall will be majoring in Sport Management
while she is attending Shawnee State University.

AMANDA CLEARCREEK'S
HALL SIGNS WITH SSU
Amanda Clearcreek’s Aimee Hall has
signed a letter of intent to continue her basketball career
at Shawnee State University. She is the fourth recruit to
sign with the Bears’ 2009-2010 class.
Hall is a four-year letter winner in basketball at ACHS. As
a senior she averaged 11 points, seven rebounds, and three
assists per game while leading the Aces to a 22-3 record.
Over her career at Amanda Clearcreek she was named 1st
Team Mid-State League, 2nd Team Central District,
1st Team District II, and Honorable Mention
All-Ohio in Division III. Hall was also named Amanda
Clearcreek Female Athlete of the Year, as well as
Circleville Herald and Lancaster Eagle Gazette Player of the
Week.
“I chose Shawnee State University because they can provide
me a quality education needed to succeed at the next level,”
said Hall. “I really liked Shawnee State’s prior basketball
success and the veteran coaching staff.”
Hall was also a three-year letter winner in soccer and track
and lettered one in volleyball at Amanda Clearcreek.
While attending Shawnee State, Hall will be studying
Secondary Education. |

POHL SIGNS TO PLAY VOLLEYBALL AND BASKETBALL AT SSU
Loveland High School’s Alex Pohl has signed a letter of
intent to play basketball and volleyball at Shawnee State
University. She is the second member of the 2009 volleyball
recruiting class and third athlete to sign to play
basketball.
Pohl was a
four-year letter winner in volleyball and was named team
MVP, earned all-league honors and earned the all-conference
academic award. During her senior season she tallied 144
kills with a .689 kill percentage, 46 digs, and 10 assists.
Pohl was a
four-year letter winner in basketball and was named team
MVP, earned 1st team all-league honors, and the
all-conference academic award. She holds numerous season
records at Loveland. She was also named the LaRosa’s Female
Athlete of the Year. Pohl averaged over 12 points, 8
rebounds a game.
While attending
Shawnee State University, Pohl will be majoring in
Sociology. |

MILFORD'S NAGLE SIGNS WITH SSU
Milford High
School standout guard Allison Nagle has signed a letter of
intent to continue her basketball career at Shawnee State
University. Nagle is the first to sign to the Bears’
2009-2010 recruiting class.
Nagle lettered
four times in basketball at Milford High School under coach
Eric Reichert. As a senior, Nagle led the FAVC conference
with 17 points per game while shooting over 40% from the
field. She earned 1st Team All-FAVC twice,
All-District, and to the All-City Team three times. She was
named Milford High School MVP her sophomore, junior, and
senior seasons.
“I chose Shawnee
State University because it represented a good balance for
my overall academic and basketball objectives,” said Nagle.
“As a basketball player my expectations are to become a
valuable contributor to the overall objectives and goals of
the team on and off the court.”

SHAWNEE STATE SIGNS NEW BOSTON
STANDOUT

New Boston standout Kayla Wiley has signed a
letter of intent to
continue her basketball career at
Shawnee State University. She is the second member of
Bears; 2009 recruiting class.Wiley,
averaged over 15 points, 5 assists, and 8 rebounds per game
as she helped lead New Boston to three SOC I league
championships.
Wiley chose Shawnee State because of its
tradition and its location near home. |
