March 6 vs. Briar Cliff (NAIA National Tournament)
Shawnee State suffered its first ever first round loss in the National Tournament as the Bears lost to Briar Cliff by a score of 45-40.  The forty points scored is the lowest total in Shawnee State history.  The Bears shot an abysmal 26.3% from the field (15-57).  Heather Schilling led all scorers with 11 points.  Nikki Tucker and Mandy Goin each had 7 points. 
 
February 26 vs. Ohio Dominican (AMC Tournament Finals)

Shawnee State defeated Ohio Dominican College 65-57 to capture their third consecutive American Mideast Conference Tournament Title.  Angie Ingram led five Bears in double figures.  She scored 15 points on 3 of 6 shooting from the field and 9 of 12 shooting from the free throw line.  Mandy Goin had 14 points and Heather Schilling added 12 points and 9 rebounds.  Camey Geiman and Cheri Griffith had 11 points apiece.  Shawnee State overcame 22 turnovers by forcing 18 from Ohio Dominican.  The Bears also held a distinct advantage at the free throw line connecting on 22 of 28 attempts compared to Ohio Dominican's 5 makes on 6 attempts.

 
February 23 vs. Cedarville (AMC Tournament Semi-Finals)
Shawnee State defeated Cedarville University 91-82 in overtime in the semi-final round of the AMC Tournament.  Camey Geiman had a career-highs of 25 points and 15 rebounds in the contest.  Angie Ingram led all scorers with 26 points.  Heather Schilling and Cheri Griffith added 17 points and 15 points respectively.  Kirsten Rosotti led Cedarville with 23 points and 7 rebounds.  SSU blitzed Cedarville 16-7 in the extra period as Cedarville failed to score on its first three possessions.  Geiman scored 8 of her 25 points in over time.
 
February 21 vs. Roberts Wesleyan (AMC Tournament 2nd Round)
Shawnee State outlasted Roberts Wesleyan College 76-71 to advance to the AMC Semi-finals.  SSU overcame a 43-33 halftime deficit before taking control midway through the second half.  Angie Ingram led the Bears with a career-high 26 points.  Heather Schilling added 19 points.  Sheri Bryant had 15 points for Roberts Wesleyan.  SSU forced RWC into 23 turnovers in the game.  SSU connected on 24 of 35 free throw attempts.  Roberts Wesleyan went to the line just 7 times converting on 6 attempts.
 
February 16 @ Mt. Vernon Nazarene
Shawnee State closed out the regular season with a 76-56 victory over Mt. Vernon Nazarene College.  Heather Schilling led the Bears with 29 points and 10 rebounds.  Camey Geiman had 13 points and Nikki Tucker added 12 points for SSU.  Susan Adams led Mt. Vernon with 14 points.  Shawnee State won the battle of the boards 51-29.  SSU also connected on 12 of 17 free throw attempts compared to 2 of 4 attempts for Mt. Vernon.
 
February 12 @ Rio Grande
Shawnee State University, ranked 11th in NAIA Division II, defeated The University of Rio Grande by a score of 70-68. The win improved Shawnee State’s record to 21-4 and kept them atop the American Mideast Conference Standings with a record of 17-2. Rio Grande falls to 21-10 (12-7 AMC).  Heather Schilling, the American Mideast Conference Player of the Week, led Shawnee State with 19 points, 8 rebounds, 5 steals, and 4 assists. Camey Geiman  had 18 points and 6 rebounds. Angie Ingram added 17 points and 6 rebounds.  Angel Allen and Amanda Blazetic had 13 points apiece for Rio Grande. Emily Cooper and Renee Turley added 12 points each.  Shawnee State forced 25 Rio turnovers while committing just 16 turnovers. SSU also held a six point advantage at the foul line. The Bears hit on 14 of 18 attempts from the stripe, while Rio Grande made 8 of 10 free throw attempts.
 
February 9 vs. Walsh

Shawnee State, ranked 17th in NAIA Division II, defeated Walsh University 66-61.  The win improves the Bears record to (20-4, 15-2 AMC) and keeps them atop the American Mideast Conference standings. Walsh falls to (12-12, 11-6 AMC). Heather Schilling led the Bears with 23 points on 10 of 20 shooting from the field.  Angie Ingram added 13 points and Ashley See came off the bench to score 10 points.  Ashley Norman led the Warriors with 22 points on 9 of 18 shooting from the field.  Emily Mongillo had 16 points and Kerri Andrews added 14 points and 6 assists.  The Bears shot 50% from behind the arch for the game, including 7 of 10 in the second half.  Shawnee shot 46.3% from the field for the game.  For the game the Warriors shot 42.9% from behind the arch and 39.3% from the field. The Bears travel to Rio Grande University on Tuesday, Feb.12.  The Bears beat Rio Grande early in the season 68-66 on January 22.  

 
February 8 vs. Daemen

Shawnee State University, ranked 17th in NAIA Division II, defeated Daemen College 88-66.  Heather Schilling led the Bears with 24 points and 9 rebounds. Angie Ingram and Camey Geiman followed close behind with Ingram having 21 points and Geiman adding 20 points. Angie also pulled down 11 rebounds in the contest.  Angela Tylec led the Warriors with 17 points. Crystal DeRosa and Adrienne Dykeman both added 11 points.  The remarkable difference in the game was the Bears shooting 22 of 29 from the free throw line, while Damen shot only 4 of 7 from the line. The Bears forced 26 turnovers while committing just 16 in the contest.

 
February 5 vs. Malone

Shawnee State University, ranked 17th in NAIA Division II, defeated Carlow College 74-55.  Heather Schilling led the Bears with 16 points. Natalie Gill had career-high 13 points.  Camey Geiman had 12 points, 11 rebounds, 8 steals, and 6 assists.  Cheri Griffith added 10 points. Stacey Gressley led Carlow College with 24 points, on 10 of 18 shooting from the field.  Jessica Opyrchal added 11 points.  Shawnee State forced 31 turnovers, including 19 steals.  The Bears shot 45.5% from the field for the game. 

 
February 3 @ Notre Dame College

Shawnee State rolled over Notre Dame College 84-61. Five Bears scored in double figures in the victory.  Mandy Goin led the way with 14 points.  Heather Schilling, Ashley See, and Angie Ingram had 13 points each.  Nikki Tucker added 10 points and 5 assists.  As a team the Bears shot 53.1% (34 of 64) from the field while holding Notre Dame to 38.6% (22 of 57) shooting from the field.   

 
February 2 @ St. Vincent
Shawnee State defeated St. Vincent College 63-62 in double overtime.  Heather Schilling led the Bears with 21 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists, and 5 steals.  She hit a three pointer with time winding down in the first overtime to tie the game and send it to another extra frame.  Camey Geiman added a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds.  Mandy Goin and Cheri Griffith added 10 points apiece.   
 
January 26 vs. Ohio Dominican

The Shawnee State University Women’s Basketball Team, ranked 17th in NAIA Division II, knocked off Ohio Dominican College 73-62.  The win moves SSU into first place in the American Mideast Conference.  Camey Geiman led the Bears with 18 points, 10 rebounds, 5 steals, and 3 blocks.  Mandy Goin and Heather Schilling added 20 points apiece for the Bears.   As a team, the Bears shot 48.3% (29 of 60) from the field.  SSU out rebounded ODC by a 36-30 margin.   Jennifer Kish had 15 points and Chris Altenburger added 14 points for Ohio Dominican.

 
January 24 @ Ursuline

The Shawnee State University Women’s Basketball Team, ranked 17th in NAIA Division II, defeated Ursuline College 84-48. Mandy Goin was one of four Bears to score in double figures. She had 24 points as she connected on eleven of twelve field goal attempts. Heather Schilling had 14 points and 6 assists. Camey Geiman had 11 points while Nikki Tucker added 10 points.  As a team, the Bears shot 61.1% (33 of 54) from the field. They also hit on 58.3% (7 of 12) of their attempts from behind the three-point line. SSU’s defense held Ursuline to 35% shooting on the night.  Jeri Brant led Ursuline with 16 points and 12 rebounds.

 
January 22 vs. Rio Grande

Shawnee State defeated The University of Rio Grande 68-66. Angie Ingram led the Bears with 19 points and 7 rebounds.  Heather Schilling added 16 points and Cheri Griffith had 15 points.  Schilling and Griffith each pulled down 5 rebounds.  Tiffany Johnson led Rio Grande with 13 points and 10 rebounds.  Amanda Blazetic had 12 points.  Rio Grande had a chance to tie the game at the end.  With time running down, Emily Cooper drove the lane and fired up a shot only to have it blocked by Mandy Goin.  Camey Geiman grabbed the rebound to secure the win for the Bears.

 
January 19 @ Urbana

Shawnee State defeated AMC foe Urbana University by a score of 72-71.  Heather Schilling led the Bears with 23 points on the night.  Mandy Goin had 19 points and 12 rebounds.  Camey Geiman also recorded a double-double as she scored 10 points and grabbed 10 rebounds.  Mindy Wright led Urbana with 16 points.  Jen McCann added 15 points.  Melissa Miller and Audrey Shade each had 14 points for the Blue Knights.  Shawnee State hit on 23 of 46 field goal attempts for 50%.  Urbana shot just 38.8% from the field (26-67).  Shawnee State also held a distinct advantage on the boards as they out rebounded the Blue Knights 40-32.

 
January 8 @ Cedarville

Shawnee State dropped a 62-60 decision to Cedarville University.  Shawnee State held a 35-26 halftime lead behind 8 of 15 shooting from behind the 3-point line. Cedarville’s defense answered in the second half, holding the Bears to 3 of 15 shooting from behind the arc. Cedarville also held All-American Mandy Goin to only 3 fieldgoal attempts. She finished with 6 points on the night. Cedarville also held a distinct advantage at the free throw line. The Lady Jackets connected on 14 of 19 free throw attempts compared to 5 of 6 for the Bears.  Cheri Griffith  led SSU with 15 points. Angie Ingram finished the night with 13 points and 9 rebounds.  Kirsten Rossotti and Julie Stauffer each had 16 points for Cedarville.

 
January 5 vs. Tiffin

The Shawnee State University Women’s Basketball Team defeated Tiffin University by a score of 81-76 Saturday evening.  The Bears were led by Heather Schilling with 26 points.  Mandy Goin recorded a double double on the evening with 19 points and 10 rebounds.  Cheri Griffith rounded out the scoring with 16 points on 3-5 from behind the arc.  Jacki Swaisgood led the Dragons with 25 points and Laura Goins added 21.

 
January 2 @ Geneva

The Shawnee State University Women’s Basketball Team defeated Geneva College 57-49 Wednesday evening.  Mandy Goin led the Bears with 19 points and 8 rebounds. Heather Schilling had 16 points. Angie Ingram added 14 points and 6 rebounds.  Truly Norman led Geneva with 13 points.

 
December 20 vs. Florida Memorial (@ Atlantic Beach Classic)

The Bears bounced back in the consolation game as they defeated Florida Memorial 72-52.  Mandy Goin led SSU with 22 points and 12 rebounds.  Angie Ingram added 15 points and 12 boards.  Camey Geiman recorded a double-double with 10 rebounds and a career-high 10 assists. 

 
December 19 vs. Siena Heights (@ Atlantic Beach Classic)
Shawnee State dropped their first round game of the Atlantic Beach Classic by a score of 85-72 to Siena Heights University.  Heather Schilling led the Bears in scoring with 15 points and Natalie Gill added a career-high 11 points.  Siena Heights (3-11) dominated the glass as they out rebounded SSU 49-26.
 
December 15 vs. Malone
Shawnee State lost an AMC match-up with Malone College on Saturday afternoon by a score of 89-79.  The loss marks the first regular season home conference loss since 1996.  Shawnee State shot 54% from the field and won the battle of the boards 28-20.  However, it was not enough to overcome an outstanding performance by Malone.  As a team, the Pioneers shot 64% from the field including 71% from behind the arc.  Amy Stefansic and Michelle Ling led Malone with 21 points apiece.  Stefansic was 10 of 12 from the field, while Ling connected on 7 of 10 three-point attempts.  Heather Schilling led the Bears with 19 points.  Angie Ingram added a season-high 18 points.  Mandy Goin and Camey Geiman added 17 points and 15 points respectively.
 
December 13 vs. Cedarville

Shawnee State avoided their second straight double overtime game on Thursday evening thanks to Cheri Griffith's last second 3-point basket. The Bears climbed back from a 12-point halftime deficit to avoid their first regular season home conference loss since 1996.  Camey Geiman led the Bears with a career-high 25 points.  She also had 14 rebounds and 4 blocked shots.  Heather Schilling added 16 points and Mandy Goin had 14  points.  Kirsten Rossotti led the Yellow Jackets with 19 points on the night.

 
December 10 vs. Charleston

Charleston University defeated Shawnee State 79-76 in double overtime.  Jennifer Turner led Charleston with 25 points on 9 of 18 shooting, including 5 of 11 from behind the arc.  As a team Charleston connected on 9 of 19 attempts from behind the 3-point line.  Phyllis Kessel added 12 points and 10 rebounds for UC.  Heather Schilling, the reigning American Mideast Conference Player of the Week, led Shawnee State with 27 points and 11 rebounds.  Angie Ingram had 15 points and 10 rebounds.  Had either team been able to connect from the free throw line, the game would not have gone to two extra periods.  Shawnee State was 8 of 23 from the line, while Charleston connected on just 6 of 14 attempts.  

 
December 8 @ Point Park
Shawnee State defeated Point Park College 61-47.  Heather Schilling led the Bears with 30 points on the night as she connected on 11 of 16  field goal attempts, including 7 of 11 from behind the 3-point line.  Shreka Gibson led Point Park with 12 points.
 
December 4 @ Charleston
Shawnee State defeated the University of Charleston 65-46.  Many Goin led all scorers in the game with 18 points.  Heather Schilling recorded her second consecutive double-double as she scored 16 points and grabbed 13 rebounds.  Nikki Tucker and Angie Ingram added 12 points apiece.
 
December 1 vs. Houghton

Shawnee State defeated Houghton College by a score of 65-43 to improve to 3-0 in the AMC.  Mandy Goin and Heather Schilling each recorded double-doubles in the game.  Goin had 16 points and 12 boards, while Schilling had 16 points and 10 rebounds.

 
November 30 vs. Roberts Wesleyan
Shawnee State defeated Robertw Wesleyan College 72-66.  Mandy Goin led the Bears with 19 points and 13 rebounds.  Angie Ingram also recorded a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds.  Heather Schilling had 22 points on the night.
 
November 17 vs. Georgetown 

Shawnee State defeated Georgetown College by a final score of 60-59.  The Bears overcame a 10 point halftime deficit as they went on a 22-6 run to open the second half.  Georgetown had a shot at the buzzer, but the turn around by Stephanie Crable clanged off the iron.  Heather Schilling led the Bears with 23 points.  Mandy Goin recorded a double-double with 14 points and 12 rebounds.  Andi Johnson scored 12 for Georgetown, while Crable added 10.

 
November 16 vs. Westminster
Shawnee State defeated Westminster College 76-59 in the opening round of the SOMC Basketball Classic.  Mandy Goin led the Bears with 26 points and 7 rebounds.  Freshman Nikki Tucker added 16 points.  Camey Geiman had 10 points, 8 rebounds, and 6 assists.
 
November 10 @ Seton Hill
Shawnee State opened the season with a 99-64 win over AMC foe Seton Hill College.  Heather Schilling poured in 29 points in her collegiate debut.  Mandy Goin had 24 points and 9 rebounds, while Angie Ingram added 16 points.  Seton Hill's Stacy Jastrzembski had 26 points on the night.
