November 3 @ Walsh

Shawnee State lost its season finale to Walsh University by scores of 30-21, 30-21, 30-21.  Heather Koehler led Shawnee State with 11 kills.  Becca Day added 8 kills and Annica Miller had 7 kills.   Halcomb tallied 37 assists.  [Box Score]  "Overall, I'm rather pleased with the season," said coach Kristy Kamer.  "We had our first winning season in three years and broke a long conference losing streak.  We came a long way this year despite our youth.  I look for continued improvement in the years to come."

 
October 30 @ Mt. Vernon

Shawnee State lost to 15th ranked Mt. Vernon Nazarene by scores of 30-27, 30-17, 27-30, 30-21.  Becca Day led the Bears with 15 kills, 15 digs, and 3 blocks.  Heather Koehler added 11 kills and 4 blocks.  Haley Halcomb handed out 34 assists to go along with 21 digs.  [Box Score]  Shena Beheler had 25 kills to lead Mt. Vernon.  Courtney Springer added 19 kills.  Kaylin Austen tallied 71 assists.  "I'm very proud of how hard we played tonight," said Shawnee State coach Kristy Kamer.  "We were up against the best team in the league and though the scores don't really show it, we came ready to play and never gave up."

 
October 27 @ Mt. Union
The Bears fell to Mt. Union in three games by scores of 30-21, 30-13, and 30-22.  Chelsea Howard led the Bears with 8 kills.  Becca Day added 7 kills and 13 digs.  Haley Halcomb had 26 assists and 17 digs in the game.  Tiffany Dailey added 13 digs for the Bears. [Box Score]
 
October 27 vs. Heidelberg @ Mt. Union
Shawnee State lost to Heidelberg by scores of 30-23, 18-30, 30-28, and 30-14.  Becca Day had 13 kills and 17 digs for the Bears  Haley Halcomb tallied 38 assists.  Adair Piguet had 17 digs, while Chelsea Howard added 14 digs for the Bears. [Box Score]
 
October 24 vs. Urbana

Shawnee State defeated Urbana University in five games by scores of 30-27, 30-28, 28-30, 29-31, and 15-4. Heather Koehler led the Bears tallying 23 kills. Becca Day added 18 kills for the Bears and 25 digs. Haley Holcomb tallied 62 assists and 17 digs in the game for the Bears. Adair Piguet, in her final home game as a Bear, tallied 24 digs.  [Box Score]

 
October 20 vs. Berea
Shawnee State defeated Berea College in three games by scores of 30-13, 30-16, and 30-14.  Becca Day had 11 kills, while Chelsea Howard added 10 kills for the Bears.  Kendra Massie and Haley Halcomb 14 assists apiece.  Sarah Pattee had 8 digs in the game.  [Box Score]
 
October 20 vs. Asbury
The Bears defeated Asbury College in three straight games by scores of 30-24, 30-19, and 30-28.  Heather Koehler had 18 kills in the game, while Becca Day added 13 kills.  Haley Halcomb tallied 44 assists.  Tiffany Dailey had 14 digs and Adair Piguet had 10 digs in the game.  [Box Score]
 
October 20 vs. West Virginia Tech

Shawnee State defeated West Virginia Tech in three games by scores of 30-14, 30-18, and 30-17.  Chelsea Howard led the Bears with 8 kills and 3 blocks.  Heather Koehler added 7 kills.  Kendra Massie had 22 assists in the game.  Adair Piguet had 11 digs for the Bears.  [Box Score]

 
October 18 vs. Kentucky Christian

Shawnee State defeated Kentucky Christian University in three games by scores of 30-9, 30-13, 30-23.  Chelsea Howard led the Bears with 9 kills and 6 digs.  Becca Day had 9 kills in the game.  Adair Piguet added 7 digs for the Bears.  Kendra Massie had 21 assists in the game. [Box Score]

 
October 16 vs. Rio Grande

Shawnee State down two games battled back to defeat AMC rival Rio Grande.  The Bears won in five games by scores of 24-30, 24-30, 30-21, 30-28, and 15-11.  Becca Day led the Bears with 20 kills and 20 digs.  Heather Koehler added 19 kills and Chelsea Howard had 11 kills in the game.  Haley Halcomb had 58 assists, 7 kills, and 19 digs for the Bears.  [Box Score]

 
October 11 vs. Cedarville

Shawnee State to Cedarville by scores of 30-28, 30-23, 30-26.  Heather Koehler led the Bears with 16 kills in the game.  Chelsea Howard added 9 kills and 2 service aces in the game.  Becca Day had 7 kills, 7 digs, 2 blocks, and 1 service ace in the game.  Adair Piguet tallied 23 digs in the game.  Haley Halcomb had 35 assists, 14 digs, 5 kills, and 2 blocks in the game.  [Box Score]

 
October 11 vs. Central State

Shawnee State defeated Central State University in three games by scores of 30-8, 30-6, 30-15.  Becca Day led the Bears with 8 kills, 5 blocks, 4 digs, and 3 service aces in the game.  Addie Tuckerman added 6 kills and 5 digs.  Haley Halcomb tallied 20 assists in the game, while Kendra Massie recorded 14 assists.  [Box Score]

 
October 9 @ Ohio Dominican

Shawnee State snapped a 30-game American Mideast Conference losing streak with a 3-1 win over Ohio Dominican.  Shawnee State won by scores of 29-31, 30-28, 30-28, 31-29.  Heather Koehler led Shawnee State with 20 kills.  Samantha Emler chipped in with 16 kills. Becca Day added 11 kills, 14 digs, and 5 blocks.  Adair Piguet had 37 digs.  Haley Halcomb tallied 54 assists and a career-high 19 digs.  [Box Score

 
October 4 vs. Mt. Vernon @ Marietta Tri-match

Shawnee State lost to Mount Vernon Nazarene University by scores of 30-23, 30-24, 30-21.  Becca Day led the Bears with 11 kills, 20 digs, 1 assist and 1 block in the game.  Samantha Emler added 10 kills for the Bears.  Adair Piguet had 18 digs in the game.  Haley Halcomb tallied 29 assists and 20 digs in the game.  [Box Score]

 
September 29 @ Marietta Tri-match

Shawnee State a tri-match at Marietta College with a non-conference loss to Urbana University.  The Bears lost by scores of 30-19, 30-28, 30-21.  Heather Koehler led Shawnee State with 14 kills and 3 blocks.   Becca Day had 7 kills and 15 digs.  Haley Halcomb tallied 26 assists and 18 digs.  [Box Score]  The Bears rebounded with at 4-game win over host Marietta College.  SSU won by scores of 26-30, 30-25, 30-28, 30-21.  Heather Koehler had 21 kills in to lead the Bears.  Becca Day had 17 kills, 18 digs, and 3 blocks.  Haley Halcomb had 45 assists and Adair Piguet chipped in with 30 digs.  [Box Score]  "We simply didn't show up to play in the first match," said Shawnee State coach Kristy Kamer.  "We finally woke up in the second match, played well together, and finished.  It was a good win for us."

 
September 28 vs. Walsh

Shawnee State Volleyball Team lost to #20 ranked Walsh University by scores of 30-23, 30-27, and 30-20.  Shawnee State was led by Becca Day who tallied 11 kills and 10 digs on the night.  Heather Koehler added 10 kills for the Bears.  Haley Halcomb tallied 31 assists and 17 digs in the game for the Bears. September 25 @ Urbana

Shawnee State lost to Urbana University by scores of 31-29, 21-30,30-19, 30-28.  Heather Koehler and Becca Day led the Bear with 10 kills apiece.  Haley Halcomb had 34 assists, 13 digs, and 6 kills.  Adair Piguet chipped in with 21 digs.  [Box Score]

 
September 22 vs. Mobile @ Cumberland Tournament

Shawnee State finished runner-up at the Cumberland University Invitational Tournament as the Bears won 3 out of 4 games.  Becca Day was named to the All-Tournament team as she tallied 59 kills, 53 digs, 4 service aces, and 1 block in the tournament.  Shawnee State lost the final game to Mobile by scores of 30-25, 30-22, and 30-21. Chelsea Howard led the Bears with 12 kills.  Haley Halcomb tallied 25 kills, while Adair Piguet added 15 digs in the game.  [Box Score]

 
September 22 vs. Rio Grande @ Cumberland Tournament
The Bears defeated Rio Grande by scores of 30-23, 28-30, 30-24, and 30-28.  Becca Day led the team with 18 kills and 16 digs in the game.  Heather Koehler had 13 kills for the Bears.  Haley Halcomb had 31 assists.  Adair Piguet and Tara Knauff had 22 digs and 18 digs for the Bears.  [Box Score]
 
September 21 vs. Lambuth @ Cumberland Tournament
Shawnee State defeated Lambuth by scores of 24-30, 30-28, 30-25, 30-22.  Shawnee State was led by Becca Day's 17 kills and 17 digs.  Chelsea Howard added 10 kills.  Haley Halcomb had 48 assists and 12 digs in the game.  Adair Piquet and Tiffany Dailey had 17 digs and 11 digs respectively for the Bears. September 21 @ Cumberland
Shawnee State defeated Cumberland in three games with scores of 30-27, 31-29, and 30-17.  Becca Day led the Bears with 19 kills, while Heather Koehler added 10 kills in the game.  Haley Halcomb tallied 29 assists and 14 digs in the game.  Adair Piguet had 12 digs for the Bears.  [Box Score]
 
September 20 @ Berea

Shawnee State snapped a three-game losing streak with a 30-14, 30-5, 30-9 win over Berea College.  Becca Day led the Bears with 6 kills.  Chelsea Howard added 5 kills.  Tara Knauff had a career-high 9 service aces to go along with 9 digs.  [Box Score]

 
September 18 vs. Ohio Dominican

Shawnee State lost to Ohio Dominican by scores of 30-23, 28-30, 32-30, and 30-20.  Heather Koehler led the Bears with 18 kills in the game.  Samantha Emler and Becca Day added 11 kills and 10 kills respectively for the Bears.  Day also have 12 digs in the game.  Haley Halcomb tallied 37 assists in the game.  [Box Score]

 
September 13 @ Rio Grande

Shawnee State lost to rival Rio Grande by scores of 16-30, 30-25, 21-30, 30-28, 15-13.  Becca Day and Chelsea Howard led the Bears with 18 kills each.  Heather Koehler and Samantha Emler each added 10 kills in the game for the Bears.  Haley Halcomb had a season-high 56 assists.  Adair Piguet had a season-high 20 digs.  [Box Score]

 
September 11 @ Cedarville

Shawnee State opened American Mideast Conference play at 24th ranked Cedarville.  The Yellow Jackets won the match 30-23, 30-16, 26-30, 30-25 to extend a home winning streak to 53 matches.  Becca Day led the Bears with 16 kills, 10 digs, and 2 blocks in the match.  Heather Koehler had 17 kills.  Haley Halcomb tallied 46 assists and Adair Piguet had a season-high 18 digs.  Sarah Zeltman led Cedarville with 19 kills and 8 blocks.  Maija Hampton had 15 kills and 16 digs.  [Box Score]  "We came out a bit slow, but we managed to pick up the pace and played pretty well overall," said Shawnee State coach Kristy Kamer.  "The score doesn't really reflect how well we played.  Hopefully, we can build on this and have better results on Thursday."

 
September 8 - 9 @ Defiance Tournament

Shawnee State won 3-of-4 matches at the Defiance College Tournament.  The Bears lost the opener to Bluffton (5-1) by scores of 24-30, 30-27, 20-30, 26-30.  Becca Day led SSU with 9 kills and 4 blocks.  Samantha Emler had 8 kills.  Kendra Massie tallied 20 assists.  [Box Score]  The Bears rebounded to defeat Waynesburg (2-3) by scores of 18-30, 30-23, 30-24, 30-19.  Becca Day led Shawnee State with 14 kills, 11 digs, and 8 blocks.  Anicca Miller added a career-high 10 kills.  Haley Halcomb had 36 assists and 8 digs.  [Box Score]  Shawnee State opened play on Saturday with a 30-27, 25-30, 30-23, 30-19 win over host Marietta College.  Heather Koehler had 13 kills in the match.  Becca Day had 10 kills and 10 digs.  Haley Halcomb had 38 assists.  [Box Score]  Shawnee State closed the event with a 26-30, 30-19, 30-16, 30-16 win over host Defiance College.  Chelsea Howard had a career-high 17 kills.  Heather Koehler had 16 kills and Becca Day chipped in with 13 kills and 12 digs.  Haley Halcomb dished out 49 assists to go along with 14 digs.  [Box Score]

 
September 4 vs. Ohio Valley

The Shawnee State University Volleyball Team defeated Ohio Valley by scores of 30-28, 29-31, 30-15, and 30-22.  Shawnee State improves to 2-2 on the season.Becca Day led the Bears with 17 kills, 5 blocks, and 2 aces.  Heather Koehler added 10 kills.  Haley Halcomb had 28 assists in the game.  [Box Score]
