November 8 @ Cedarville

Shawnee State lost its final match of the season to 16th ranked Cedarville University by scores of 30-18, 30-24, 30-21.  Dancin Gastelum led SSU with 10 kills and 3 blocks.  Kelsey Sewards and Kara Miller chipped in with 6 kills apiece.  Sewards added 26 assists on the night.

 
November 6 @ Walsh

Walsh University defeated Shawnee State 30-18, 30-16, 30-14.  Gatelum also led the Bears in the loss to Walsh.  She had 9 kill and 3 blocks.  Carly Cameron had 8 digs.  Sewards tallied 18 assists.

 
November 6 vs. Ohio Dominican @ Walsh
Shawnee State defeated Ohio Dominican by scores of 30-26, 30-27, 21-30, 21-30, 15-12.  Dancin Gastelum led the Bears with 13 kills, 14 digs, and 4 blocks.  Kristi Twyman added 12 kills and 4 blocks.  Carly Cameron chipped in with 11 kills.  Kelsey Sewards dished out 54 assists and had 4 blocks.
 
November 4 vs. Kentucky Christian

Shawnee State defeated Kentucky Christian University 3-0 on Senior Night. Shawnee State wasted little time dispatching the Lady Knights by scores of 30-8, 30-9, and 30-16.  Seniors Kristi Twyman and Dancin Gastelum led the Bears on the night with 8 and 5 kills. Erin Dutton led the way with 11 assists. Kelsey Sewards added 8 assists in the victory. Kara Miller added 7 digs in the win. Elizabeth Eby had an impressive 14 straight service points in the second game to help in the winning effort.

 
October 30 vs. Mt. Vernon

Shawnee State lost to Mount Vernon Nazarene University by scores of 28-30, 20-30, 9-30.  Dancin Gastelum led the Bears with 11 kills, and 8 digs.  Kara Miller and Lindsey Grubb both claimed 7 kills apiece.  Erin Dutton tallied 17 assists on the day.  

 
October 28 @ Ohio Valley

Shawnee State defeated Ohio Valley College Thursday night by scores of 27-30, 30-22, 30-21, 30-20.  Kristi Twyman led the Bears with 16 kills and 4 blocks on the night.  Kelsey Sewards dished out 36 assists.  Elizabeth Eby and Cheryl Ziser had 6 and 5 aces respectively.

 
October 26 vs. Rio Grande

Shawnee State defeated Rio Grande in straight games. Shawnee State had little problem retiring the Redwomen in the first two games 30-18 and 30-8. The Redwomen started quickly in the third game jumping out to a 15-6 lead. From that point the Bears rallied outscoring the Redwomen 24-9 to seal the victory. Dancin Gastelum led the Bears offensively with 13 kills, 9 digs, and 5 blocks. Kelsey Sewards added 7 kills on top of 26 assists for SSU. Also contributing in the win, Kristy Twyman had 9 kills on the night, Cheryl Ziser had 10 digs, and Tiffany Holbrook added 8 aces in the victory.  

 
October 23 vs. Urbana

Shawnee State lost to Urbana University by scores of 26-30, 30-28, 30-22, 30-25.  Dancin Gastelum led the team with 13 kills, 12 digs and 2 blocks for the day.  Kristi Twyman added 11 kills. Kelsey Sewards led the team with 30 assists.  

 
October 23 vs. Malone

Shawnee State lost to Malone College by scores 25-30, 30-23, 31-29, 31-29. Dancin Gastelum led the Bears with 20 kills, 5 blocks and 13 digs on the day.  Kristi Twyman contributed with 16 kills.  Carly Cameron tallied 16 digs.  Kelsey Sewards led the team with 42 assists and 14 digs.  

 
October 20 vs. Tiffin
Shawnee State lost to Tiffin by scores of 33-31, 22-30, 19-30, 26-30.  Dancin Gastelum and Cheryl Ziser led the team with 13 kills and 22 digs a piece.  Kara Miller added 13 kills and 13 digs for the night.  Erin Dutton tallied 45 assists on the night in the loss.
 
October 18 vs. Ohio Dominican
Shawnee State lost to Ohio Dominican by scores of 30-23, 22-30, 30-20, 30-28. Dancin Gastelum led the Bears offensively with 16 kills and 2 blocks.  Cheryl Ziser added 11 kills along with 23 digs in the loss.  Kelsey Sewards tallied 44 assists on the night.  Carly Cameron added 18 digs for SSU. 
 
October 14 vs. Central State

Shawnee State defeated Central State University 30-16, 30-6, 30-14.  Kristi Twyman led the Bears with 8 kills and 8 blocks on the night.  Dancin Gastelum chipped in with 8 kills.  Kara Miller, Elizabeth Eby, and Carly Cameron had 4 service aces each.  The Bears tallied 17 aces as a team.  Erin Dutton dished out 25 assists.   

 
October 11 vs. Cedarville
Shawnee State lost to #15 Cedarville University by scores of 30-11,30-16, 30-20.  Dancin Gastelum led the Bears with 10 kills on the night, while Kristi Twyman contributed 7 kills in the effort. Kara Miller led the Bears with 17 digs. Erin Dutton tallied 16 assists and Kelsey Sewards added 12 assists in the match.
 
October 9 vs. Walsh
Shawnee State lost to Walsh University 0-3 by scores of 26-30, 13-30, 19-30. Kristi Twyman led the Bears with 7 Kills on the day. Dancin Gastelum contributed with 5 kills and 9 digs. Kelsey Sewards tallied 11 assists.
 
October 5 @ Rio Grande

Shawnee State picked up its first AMC win of the season with a victory over Rio Grande.  Shawnee State won the match 32-30, 30-26, 25-30, 35-33.  Kara Miller and Kristi Twyman led the Bears with 19 kills apiece.  Dancin Gastelum added 19 kills and 6 blocks.  Carly Cameron chipped in with 11 kills and 17 digs.  Kelsey Sewards dished out a career-high 56 assists on the night.

 
October 2 vs. Malone (@ Urbana)
SSU lost to Malone (20-8, 5-0 AMC) by scores of 17-30, 24-30, 18-30.  Dancin Gastelum led the Bears with 10 kills and 3 blocks.  Kristi Twyman and Kara Miller added 6 kills apiece.  Kelsey Sewards had 20 assists and 11 digs. 
 
October 2 @ Urbana
Shawnee State opened an AMC tri-match with a 5-game loss to Urbana (20-8, 1-4 AMC).  Urbana won by scores of 26-30, 30-25, 29-31, 30-21, 15-9.  Dancin Gastelum led the Bears with 19 kills, 5 digs, 4 blocks, and 2 assists.  Kara Miller chipped in with 14 kills and 7 digs.  Kelsey Sewards dished out 45 assists.
 
September 30 @ Mt. Vernon
Shawnee State lost to Mt. Vernon Nazarene by scores of 30-17, 30-26, 30-15.  Kara Miller led Shawnee State with 10 kills and 7 digs.  Dancin Gastelum added 6 kills, 7 digs, and 4 blocks.  Kristi Twyman chipped in with 5 kills and 2 blocks.  Kelsey Sewards tallied 24 assists in the match. 
September 25 @ Tiffin

Shawnee State dropped its AMC opener at Tiffin University by scores of 30-14, 30-21, 22-30, 29-31.  Dancin Gastelum led the Bears with 15 kills, 15 digs, and 5 blocks.  Kristi Twyman chipped in with 14 kills.  Kelsey Sewards and Erin Dutton had 25 and 14 assists respectively.  Sewards added 4 blocks in the match.  Carly Cameron added 12 digs.   

 
September 18 vs. Roberts Wesleyan (@ ODU)
SSU defeated Roberts Wesleyan College in its final game of the 2004 AMC Challenge.  SSU won by scores of 30-28, 30-27, 30-26.  Gastelum had 13 kills and 4 blocks.  Miller had 11 kills.  Grubb added 10 kills and 14 digs.  Erin Dutton and Kelsey Sewards had 20 and 19 assists respectively.  Dancin Gastelum was named to the All-Tournament Team.
 
September 18 vs. Daemen (@ ODU)
SSU opened the second day of the AMC Challenge with a loss to Daemen College.  SSU lost by scores of 16-30, 27-30, 32-30, 30-28, 12-15.  Lindsey Grubb led SSU with a career-high 14 kills.  Dancin Gastelum chipped in with 11 kills, 10 blocks, and 8 digs.  Kara Miller and Kristi Twyman had 8 kills apiece.  Kelsey Sewards had 31 assists.
 
September 17 vs. Houghton (@ ODU)
SSU bounced back to knock off Houghton by scores of 30-26, 32-30, 30-25 in Game 2 of the AMC North-South Challenge.  Gastelum and Grubb had 10 kills apiece and Kristi Twyman added 9 kills.  Adair Piguet and Carley Cameron had 9 and 8 digs respectively.  Erin Dutton tallied 23 assists and Sewards added 11 assists.  The win was the 100th in the career of SSU coach Steven Rader.  He is the winningest coach in the history of the program.
 
September 17 vs. Seton Hill (@ ODU)
Shawnee State opened the AMC Challenge against Seton Hill on Friday evening.  Seton Hill defeated SSU 29-31, 30-28, 28-30, 23-30.  Kara Miller led the Bears with 18 kills and 11 digs.  Dancin Gastelum had 17 kills, 16 digs, and 7 blocks.  Freshman Lindsey Grubb, starting for the injured Ziser, had 13 kills.  Kelsey Sewards dished out a career-high 40 assists in the match.
 
September 14 @ Central State

Shawnee State snapped a three-match skid with a win over Central State.  The Bears won the match by scores of 30-7, 30-9, 30-14.  Dancin Gastelum led the Bears with 11 kills on the night.  Kara Miller added a season-high 6 kills.  Kelsey Sewards and Erin Dutton had 15 and 11 assists respectively.  Cheryl Ziser and Elizabeth Eby had 5 aces apiece. 

 
September 11 vs. Siena Heights (@ Defiance)
SSU closed out the Defiance Invitational with a 24-30, 30-23, 28-30, 27-30 loss to Siena Heights.   SSU held 8 point leads in games 3 and 4 but was unable to hold on in either.  Gastelum once again paced the Bears.  She had 20 kills, 14 digs, and 4 blocks.  Ziser added 17 kills and 20 digs.  Sewards tallied 38 assists.
 
September 11 vs. Huntington (@ Defiance)
SSU Huntington by scores of 19-30, 21-30, 30-26, 22-30 at the Defiance Invitational.  Dancin Gastelum notched 12 kills and Carly Cameron added 10 kills.   Cheryl Ziser chipped in with 8 kills and 12 digs.  Kelsey Sewards had 28 assists.
 
September 10 vs. Alma (@ Defiance)
SSU lost to Alma College by scores of 17-30, 30-24, 23-30, 26-30 in game two of the Defiance Invitational.  Ziser had 16 kills and 10 digs.  Gastelum had 9 kills while Kelsey Sewards had 31 assists.
 
September 10 vs. Spring Arbor (@ Defiance)
SSU opened the Defiance Invitational with a 3-game win over Spring Arbor, 30-18, 30-25,30-22.  Cheryl Ziser led the Bears with 18 kills on 28 attempts.  She did not commit and attack error.  Dancin Gastelum added 14 kills and 14 digs.  Kelsey Sewards dished out 39 assists to go along with 10 digs.
 
September 7 @ Wilmington

Shawnee State improved to 2-0 on the season by downing Wilmington College 30-22, 30-25, 30-21.  Seniors Dancin Gastelum and Kristi Twyman had 12 and 8 kills respectively on the night.  Cheryl Ziser had 13 digs.  Freshman setter Kelsey Sewards had an all around good night as she dished out 27 assists, tallied 6 kills, and had 3 blocks.

 
September 4 @ Kentucky Christian

Shawnee State opened the 2004 season with a 3-game victory over Kentucky Christian College.  Shawnee State won by scores of 30-10, 30-10, 30-8.  Kristie Twyman led the Bears with 12 kills on the day.  Cheryl Ziser and Dancin Gastelum chipped in with 7 kills apiece.  Freshmen setters Kelsey Sewards and Erin Dutton had 18 and 14 assists respectively.  Tiffany Holbrook had 7 digs and 5 aces.
