# 2
Dancin Gastelum
5'11"
Senior
Middle Hitter
La Crescenta, CA
La Crescenta High School

Coach's Comments -- “Dancin will be moving back to her natural position as a middle hitter this season; we had her hit outside last year due to our depth in the middle.  We’ll need her agility and court-sense this year; she’ll need to shoulder more of the offensive load than she did last year – and I have every confidence that she’ll come through for us.

2004 Season -- Dancin played in all 107 games for the Bears in 2004.  She led the squad with 365 kills, 269 digs, and 107 blocks.  She was second on the team with 42 service aces.  She earned 2nd Team All-AMC honors.

2003 Season -- Dancin was second on the squad with 389 digs, which is the second most digs ever recorded in a single season at SSU.  She was fourth on the team with 1.98 kills per game and third with 0.24 blocks per game.

Pasadena City College -- Gastelum was a first team All-South Coast Conference selection in fall 2002.  She garnered second-team all-conference honors as a freshman in 2001.

Crescenta Valley High School -- Dancin was Crescenta Valley’s Most Valuable Player during her junior and senior years, and a first-team all-conference selection during her senior year.   Gastelum was also an all-conference soccer player at Crescenta.
