November 29 vs. Ohio Dominican (@ Walsh)
Shawnee State closed out the 2002 season with a loss to Ohio Dominican by scores of 30-21, 20-30, 17-30, 23-30.  Kristen Jones and Kara Miller led the Bears with 11 kills apiece.  Kristi Twyman added 9 kills.  Anne Jennings had 21 assists in the contest.  Lindsey Freels had a career-high 16 digs.
 
November 9 @ Walsh
Shawnee State lost to AMC South frontrunner, Walsh University, by scores of 24-30, 18-30, 15-30.  Kristen Jones led the Bears with 8 kills and 3 blocks.  Chelsey Eldridge, Kristi Twyman, and Leah Fulton added 4 kills each. Doris Staler had 3 digs to give her the school record for digs in a career with 729.
 
November 5 vs. Central State

Shawnee State University defeated Central State 30-10, 30-5, 30-8.  The Bears were led by Kristen Jones with 11 kills.  Chelsey Eldridge recorded 9 aces and Anne Jennings had 11 assists. Doris Staler recorded 4 digs which ties the career digs record for Shawnee State at 726.  

 
October 31 @ Kentucky Christian

The Shawnee State University Women’s Volleyball Team defeated Kentucky Christian College 30-12, 30-12, 30-15.  Kristen Jones led the Bears with 15 kills and 6 blocks on the evening. Kara Miller  and Leah Fulton had 8 kills apiece. Anne Jennings tallied 26 assists and 8 service aces in the match. Kara Miller added 10 digs.

 
October 29 vs. Rio Grande

The Shawnee State University Volleyball Team lost to the Redwomen of Rio Grande 30-25, 30-27, 30-24.  The Bears were led by Kara Miller and Chelsey Eldridge both having 8 kills apiece.  Jennifer Cornelius added 7 kills and Kristen Jones chipped in with 5.  Tabby King had 6 aces on the evening.  

 
October 23 vs. Mt. Vernon

The Shawnee State University Volleyball Team were defeated by the Cougars of Mt. Vernon Nazarene University Wednesday evening.  Mt. Vernon defeated Shawnee (30-17, 30-24, 30-19).  Shawnee’s record falls to (10-8, 3-8 AMC), while Mt. Vernon improves to (26-8, 8-3 AMC). Anne Jennings led the Bears with 17 assists and Tabby King chipped in with 15.  Kara Miller and Kristen Jones each had 8 kills.  While Leah Fulton and Chelsey Eldridge both tallied 6 kills for Shawnee.  

 
October 17 @ Mt. State

The Shawnee State University Volleyball avoided a let down coming off their stunning victory over Mt. Vernon Nazarene as they downed Mountain State University 30-21, 18-30, 30-26, 30-20. Kristen Jones led the Bears with 14 kills and 7 blocks on the night. Kara Miller  added10 kills and Lindsey Freels had 9 kills on the night. Anne Jennings led the Bears’ attack with 26 assists on the evening. Leah Fulton had a career-high 18 digs and Freels added 16 digs on the evening.

 
October 12 @ Mt. Vernon
The Shawnee State University Volleyball Team stunned the reigning AMC champions, Mt. Vernon Nazarene 30-25, 27-30, 30-26, 23-30, 15-11. The victory is Shawnee State’s first over Mt. Vernon in 23 attempts. It also marks the first conference loss for Mt. Vernon on their home floor in eleven years.  Freshman Kara Miller led the Bears with 13 kills and 8 digs. Leah Fulton, Chelsey Eldridge, and Jennifer Cornelius tallied 12 kills apiece. Kristen Jones added 7 kills and 9 blocks. Anne Jennings led the attack with 28 assists and Tabby King added 22 assists.
 
October 10 vs. Cedarville

The Shawnee State Volleyball team lost to the Yellow Jackets of Cedarville University 30-26, 26-30, 30-20, 30-20. Shawnee kept Cedarville close pulling out the second game with a win.  In the fourth, Cedarville jumped out to an 11-4 lead, but Shawnee clawed back to within 5 before Cedarville pulled away with the win.  Kara Miller and Jennifer Cornelius led the Bears' attack with 13 kills apiece.  Tabby King tallied 25 assists for Shawnee.  

 
October 8 @ Rio Grande
The Shawnee State University Volleyball Team defeated the University of Rio Grande by scores of 30-13, 30-18, 24-30, 30-24.   The Bears have now won 4 straight in the series.  Kristen Jones led a balanced Bears attack with 14 kills. Jennifer Cornelius had 12 kills, while Chelsey Eldridge and Krisit Twyman added 11 kills apiece. Tabby King led the squad with 30 assists.
 
October 5 vs. Urbana (@ Malone)
Shawnee State lost to Urbana 30-24, 30-16, 30-27. Kara Miller and Jennifer Cornelius had 7 kills apiece.  Tabby King dished out 11 assists and Anne Jennings added 10.  
 
October 5 @ Malone
Shawnee State lost to Malone College 30-22, 25-30, 30-27, 30-26.  Kristen Jones led the Bears with 16 kills.  Tabby King had 21 assists.
 
October 1 @ Central State

Shawnee State University defeated Central State University in straight games on Tuesday evening. The Bears won by scores of 30-12, 30-13, 30-17. SSU improves to 7-3 on the season.  Kristen Jones led the Bears with 8 kills on the night. Kristi Twyman added 7 kills. Anne Jennings dished out 16 assists and Tabby King tallied 10 assists. Doris Staler  chipped in with 11 digs.

 
September 28 vs. Tiffin
Shawnee State dropped a three-game match to Cedarville University by scores of 30-23, 30-22, 30-29.  Chelsey Eldridge led the Bears in defeat as she recorded 14 kills.  Leah Fulton had 12 kills and Lindsey Freel added 10 kills.  Tabby King dished out 25 assists and Anne Jennings added 24 assists.  Doris Staler nearly tied her own school record of 28 digs.  She recorded 25 in the match.
 
September 28 vs. Cedarville
Cedarville University defeated Shawnee State 30-20, 32-30, 30-22.  Leah Fulton and Kristen Jones each recorded 9 kills for the Bears.  Anne Jennings tallied 18 assists.  Doris Staler had 13 digs and Lindsey Freels and Kara Miller had 11 digs apiece.
 
September 26 @ Ohio Valley
Shawnee State defeated Ohio Valley College 30-10, 30-16, 30-10.  Kristen Jones led the Bears with 9 kills while Kristi Twyman and Leah Fulton added 8 kills each.  Anne Jennings led the squad with 10 assists.
 
September 21 vs. Ohio Dominican
Ohio Dominican University defeated Shawnee State University by scores of 30-28, 30-22, 30-26.  Kristen Jones led the Bears in defeat with 8 kills.  Tabby King dished out 14 assists.  Kara Miller had 11 digs.
 
September 21 vs. Walsh
Walsh University defeated Shawnee State University 30-19, 30-10, 30-22.  Leah Fulton and Kristi Twyman led the Bears with 7 kills apiece.  Anne Jennings had 14 assists.  Kara Miller recorded 9 digs.
 
September 19 @ Wilmington
Shawnee State defeated Wilmington College 30-28, 30-15, 30-20.  Kristen Jones led the Bears with 11 kills on the night.  Anne Jennings and Tabby King had 10 assists apiece.  Doris Staler tallied 14 digs.
 
September 14 vs. Mountain State

Shawnee State defeated Kentucky Christian 30-23, 30-16, 30-20.  Jennifer Cornelius, Kristen Jones, and Chelsey Eldridge each had 9 kills to lead the way against Kentucky Christian in the first match.  Kara Miller followed with 8 aces and Doris Staler added 16 digs.  Tabby King had 15 assists and Anne Jennings chipped in with 11.

 
September 14 vs. Kentucky Christian
Shawnee State defeated Mountain State 30-22, 30-27, 30-28.  Kara Miller had 13 digs and 7 kills against Mountain State.  Lindsey Freels and Doris Staler each had 12 digs.  Leah Fulton added 9 kills. While Christy Eldridge and Jennifer Cornelius rounded out the day with 7 kills apiece.  
 
September 9 vs. OU-Southern

The Shawnee State University Women’s Volleyball team opened their season with a 3-game win over Ohio University-Southern.  The Bears won 30-9, 30-17, 30-4.   Freshman Kara Miller tied a school-record with 10 aces.  She also tallied 7 digs and three kills on the evening.  Kristen Jones  added 9 kills and Freshman Tiffany Holbrook added 10 assists.
