Shawnee State's Katie Wade and Lori Harmon have been selected the
AMC Players of the Week in softball for games played March 17 - 23.
Wade, a senior centerfielder from Hilliard, Ohio, batted .462 to
lead the Bears to a 7-1 week. She had nine hits in 26 at bats
with four doubles, 14 RBI's, and nine runs scored.
She walked five times and recorded four multi-hit games.
She had a pair of three-hit efforts and drove in two or more runs in
a game three times.
Harmon, a junior pitcher from Symmes Valley, Ohio, was 3-1 with
two saves and a 0.55 earned run average in six appearances.
She tossed a five-inning no-hitter with 11 strikeouts against
Mitchell and hurled a seven-inning one-hitter with eight K's against
Wisconsin-Platteville.
For the week, Harmon allowed two earned runs in 25 2/3 innings on
11 hits. She struck out 29 batters and walked three. |
