Coach Cole
took over the softball program in 1992 after serving two years as an
assistant coach for the Bears. Since that time, SSU has had one of
the most successful and respected softball programs in the NAIA.
Shawnee
State has won nine conference championships and made nine National
Tournament appearances during Coach Cole's tenure. Shawnee State
was the NAIA National Runner-Up in 1997. Coach Cole has produced 13
NAIA All-Americans, six Conference Players of the Year's, 15 NAIA
Scholar Athletes, and 36 1st team all-conference
selections. He earned Conference Coach of the Year honors in 1996
and 2010.
In 19 years at the helm, Coach Cole has posted a record of 518-253,
including a conference record of 246-91. |
