Coach's Comments -- "Tia has been a
good defensive player and is expected to hit up to her potential
this year."
2006 Season -- Tia played in 21 games for the Bears in the
2006 season. She compiled a batting average of .191 with 6
runs scored, 5 doubles, and 4 RBI. In the Bears 7-6 win over
Pikeville on March 7 she had 2 hits, 2 runs scored and a double. 2005 Season -- Tia
played in 20 games as a sophomore. She hit .222 with 5 runs
scored and 2 RBI. She was the only regular player not to
commit an error on the season.
2004 Season -- Tia had 3
multi-hit games as a freshman. She was 2-2 with 2 runs scored
and 2 RBI in an 8-0 win over Frostburg State on March 22. She
led the team with 5 sacrifice bunts on the year.
Sylvania Northview High School
-- Walling, a
second team all-league outfielder, helped lead Northview to a 25-5
record and district championship her senior season.
