Coach's Comments -- "Ashley is an
outstanding defensive center fielder. She must have a better
offensive performance this season than in the last two years for the
Bears to be successful."
2006 Season -- Ashley played and started in all but one
game as a junior. Ashley led the team with 9 homeruns and 34
RBI. She was second on the team with a .351 batting average,
131 at bats, 32 runs, and 46 hits. She hit two homeruns and
had 3 RBI to help the Bears beat Walsh 4-0 on April 22.
2005 Season -- Ashley started all 34 games in centerfield for
the Bears as a sophomore. She hit .227 with 6 doubles, 12 RBI,
and 8 runs scored. She had 6 multi-hit games on the year. 2004 Season -- Ashley started
all 30 games for the Bears as a freshman. She was 2-3 with a
double, homerun, 2 runs scored, and 3 RBI in a 9-0 win over
Washington & Jefferson on March 25. Groveport Madison
High School -- Ashley earned All Conference and All
District selections at Groveport Madison. In addition to
softball, Adkins was a four-year letter winner in basketball and
soccer.
