Coach's Comments -- "Katie is a
tremendous offensive player. I expect her to put up some big
time numbers over the course of her career starting as a
freshman. She is a great pick-up for the team."
2005 Season -- Katie started all 34 games
as a freshman. She led the team with 22 runs scored, 10
doubles, 61 total bases, and a slugging percentage of .587.
She had 10 multi-hit games on the year. She was named
Honorable Mention All-AMC. She was also named to the American
Mideast Conference All-Freshman Team.
Hilliard Darby High School -- Katie was a
four-year letter winner in softball at Hilliard Darby. She
holds several school records including highest freshman batting
average (.634), most walks in a season (13), most hit by pitch in a
season (4), and most doubles in a season (8).
