Coach's Comments -- "I think Ashley is
going to really break out this year. She plays great defense
and really covers a lot of ground in center field. I expect
her hitting to improve dramatically."
2005 Season -- Ashley started all 34 games in centerfield for
the Bears as a sophomore. She hit .227 with 6 doubles, 12 RBI,
and 8 runs scored. She had 6 multi-hit games on the year. 2004 Season -- Ashley started
all 30 games for the Bears as a freshman. She was 2-3 with a
double, homerun, 2 runs scored, and 3 RBI in a 9-0 win over
Washington & Jefferson on March 25. Groveport Madison
High School -- Ashley earned All Conference and All
District selections at Groveport Madison. In addition to
softball, Adkins was a four-year letter winner in basketball and
soccer.
