May 20 vs. Athens State
Shawnee State's season game to end as they lost to Athens State by  a score of 2-1.  Erica Brickey was hit with the loss despite giving up just 4 hits over 7 innings.  The Bears had a chance in the seventh inning, but left runners stranded on second and third.
 
May 19 vs. Culver-Stockton
Shawnee State defeated Culver-Stockton by a score of 1-0 to stay alive in the NAIA National Tournament.  Ashley Rawson pitched a complete game 2-hitter.  Shawnee State scored the only run of the game in the 5th inning on a double by Kristen Graham.  Kristi Coleman scored from 1st base.
 
May 18 vs. Oklahoma City
Shawnee State lost 3-0 to number one ranked Oklahoma City University in opening round action of the NAIA National Tournament.  Erica Brickey suffered the defeat as she allowed 3 runs in 2.2 innings.  Ashley Rawson pitched the final 4.1 innings and allowed just one hit to keep the game close.  Shawnee State was unable to get on track offensively as Oklahoma City's Alexandra Boily struck out 15 Bears. 
 
May 12 vs. Geneva
Shawnee State defeated Geneva College by a score of 7-6 in 8 innings to capture the NAIA Region IX Championship and earn a berth in the NAIA National Tournament.  For the second time in the tournament, Erica Brickey blew a save opportunity but rebounded to pick up the win.  Amanda Crawford was 2 for 4 with a homerun, 3 RBI's, and 2 runs scored.  Kerri Bennett was 3 for 4 with a run scored.
 
May 11 vs. Geneva
Geneva College drilled Shawnee State by a score of 8-0 to force a second championship game in the NAIA Region IX Tournament.  Erica Brickey gave up 8 runs (4 earned).  The Bears managed just 3 hits in the game; one each by Brandy Orsborne, Candy Pickelsimer, and Carrie Kyne.
 
May 11 vs. Ohio Dominican
Shawnee State defeated Ohio Dominican College 4-3 in 8 innings in the second round of the NAIA Region IX Tournament.  Erica Brickey picked up the win in relief despite blowing a save opportunity.  Brandy Orsborne was 2 for 4 with 2 RBI's.  April West was 3 for 3 with an RBI.
 
May 10 vs. Tiffin
Shawnee State defeated Tiffin University 2-1 in the opening round of the NAIA Region IX Tournament.  Erica Brickey picked up the win in Game 1.  She scattered 5 hits over 9 innings while striking out 4.  Mindy Wolever was 3 for 4 with an RBI and a run scored.
 
May 4 vs. Walsh 
Shawnee State swept a double-header from Walsh University to clinch a share of the AMC Regular Season Championship.  The Bears won Game 1 by a score of 2-1 behind Erica Brickey's 5 strike out performance.  Joni Akers was 1 for 1 with a run scored.  Ashley Rawson picked up the win in the Bears' 8-1 victory in Game 2.  She allowed 4 hits and struck out 5.  Kristen Graham was 2 for 4 with a run scored and an RBI.  Amanda Crawford and Kerri Bennett were each 2 for 3 in the game.
 
May 2 vs. Malone
Shawnee State swept a double-header with Malone College by scores of 5-0 and 5-0.  Erica Brickey (12-6) picked up the win in Game 1 as she allowed just 3 hits and struck out 3.  The win was her 8th shutout of the season.  Kristen Graham was 2 for 4 with 2 RBI's.  Ashley Rawson picked up the win in Game 2 as she allowed just 2 hits and struck out 6.  Mindy Wolever was 2 for 2 with an RBI and 1 run scored.
 
April 30 @ Geneva
Shawnee State split a double-header with Geneva College by scores of 5-2 and 5-6.  The Bears won Game 1 behind the pitching of Erica Brickey.  Brickey allowed just 2 runs as she scattered 7 hits and struck out 9.  Brandy Orsborne and Carrie Kyne each had 2 hits in the game.  Shawnee State lost Game 2 in the bottom of the 7th inning on a Geneva College sacrifice fly.  Ashley Rawson took the loss despite striking out 10 batters.
 
April 28 @ Notre Dame
Shawnee State swept a double-header from Notre Dame College by scores of 9-0 and 7-0.  the Bears won Game 1 behind Erica Brickey's first career no-hitter and her 7th career shutout.  Brickey struck out 13 and did not walk a single batter.  Carrie Kyne was 3 for 4 in the game with 4 RBI's and 2 stolen bases.  Ashley Rawson allowed just 3 hits in Game 2.  Joni Akers was 3 for 4 with a triple and 2 RBI's.  
 
April 24 @ Rio Grande
Shawnee State swept a double header from Rio Grande by scores of 5-0 and 5-2.  Erica Brickey notched her 6th shutout of the season as she scattered 5 hits while striking out 7 batters.  Kriten Graham and Candy Pickelsimer each had 2 hits in the game.  Keri Bennet and Erica Brickey drove in 2 runs apiece.  Ashley Rawson picked up the win in Game 2 as she allowed just 2 runs on 4 hits.  Brandy Orsborne, Amanda Crawford, and Candy Pickelsimer each had 2 hits in the game.
 
April 14 vs. Olivet Nazarene
Shawnee State defeated Olivet Nazarene by a score of 5-2.  Erica Brickey pitched 4 innings of 2-hit softball to pick up the win.  Ashley Rawson pitched the final 3 innings to pick up her first career save.  Kristen Graham was 1 for 3 with 2 runs scored.  Amanda Crawford was 1 for 3 with a run scored and an RBI.
 
April 14 vs. Athens State
Shawnee State fell to Athens State for the 4th time this season as they dropped a 6-0 decision.  The Bears managed just 4 hits, and left all of those runners stranded.  Rawson gave up 10 hits, 5 earned runs, and walked 3.
 
April 14 vs. Montreat
Shawnee State defeated Montreat College by a score of 2-0 behind Erica Brickey's 5th shut out of the season.  Brickey scattered 7 hits while striking out 7.  She did not allow a walk.  Joni Akers was 1 for 3 with an RBI.  Mindy Wolever was 1 for 1 with a run scored and a stolen base.
 
April 13 vs. Tiffin
Shawnee State split a double-header with Tiffin University.  The Bears lost Game 1 by a score of 5-1 in 11 innings.  SSU took Game 2 by a score of 2-0.  Erica Brickey scattered just 3 hits over 10 innings before the roof caved in.  SSU committed 3 errors in the top of the 11th inning and Tiffin collected 3 hits while scoring 4 runs.  The loss snapped Shawnee State's 10 game win streak.  Shawnee State bounced back in Game 2 as Ashley Rawson allowed just 2 hits while striking out 5.  Candy Pickelsimer and Mindy Wolever each collected 2 hits in the game.
 
April 12 @ Mt. Vernon
Shawnee State swept a double-header from Mt. Vernon Nazarene by scores of 2-0 and 7-2.  Erica Brickey threw her 4th consecutive shut out in Game 1.  She allowed just 3 hits while striking out 11.  Kristen Graham and Brandy Orsborne were each 2 for 4 in the game.  Ashley Rawson picked up the win in Game 2 as she scattered 8 hits while giving up just 1 earned run.  Kristen Graham and Brandy Orsborne were each 3 for 4 in the game.
 
April 7 vs. St. Vincent
Shawnee State swept their 4th consecutive AMC double-header as they defeated St. Vincent College by scores of 3-0 and 4-3.  Erica Brickey notched her 3rd consecutive shutout in Game 1.  Ashley Rawson picked up the win in Game 2.
 
April 6 vs. Seton Hill
Shawnee State swept a double-header from Seton Hill by scores of 4-0 and 7-1.  Erica Brickey pitched her 2nd consecutive shutout to pick up the win in Game 1.  She allowed just 1 hit while striking out 7.  Kristen Graham and Brandy Orsborne were each 2 for 3 on the day.  Kerri Bennett had a triple and 2 RBI.  Ashley Rawson picked up the win in Game 2 as she scattered 6 hits while striking out 4.  Joni Akers, Natalie Hofstetter, and Candy Pickelsimer were all 2 for 3 in the game.
 
April 4 vs. Urbana
Shawnee State swept a double header from Urbana University on Wednesday by scores of 3-0 and 3-1.  Shawnee State improved to 7-8 (4-2 AMC) while Urbana dropped to 10-9 (4-6 AMC).  Erica Brickey (3-5) pitched a 1-hitter in the opener.  She struck out 9 and allowed just 1 walk.  Brandy Orsborne and Candy Pickelsimer were each 3 for 3 in the game.Ashley Rawson (4-3) allowed just 2 hits while striking out 4 in Game 2.  Kristen Graham,  Amanda Crawford, and Keri Bennett each collected 2 hits in the game.
 
April 2 @ Cedarville
Shawnee State swept a double header from Cedarville University to improve to 2-2 in the American Mideast Conference.  Shawnee State won Game 1 by a score of 3-2.  Erica Brickey (2-5) picked up the win as she scattered 6 hits over 7 innings.  Brandy Orsborne was 2 for 3 with 2 runs scored while Amanda Crawford was 2 for 3 with 2 RBI.  Ashley Rawson pitched a complete game shut out in Game 2 as SSU won 6-0.  Brandy Orsborne was 3 for 4 in the game.  Mindy Wolever drove in 3 runs.
 
March 30 vs. Athens St. (@ Montreat Tournament)
Shawnee State dropped a double header to Athens State University in Montreat, NC by scores of 3-1 and 3-0.  Erica Brickey took the loss in Game 1 as she gave up 3 runs on 7 hits in 7 innings of work.  Ashley Rawson took the loss in the rain shortened second game as she gave up 3 runs (1 earned) on 2 hits in 5 innings of work.  Shawnee State managed only 5 hits in two games.
 
March 25 vs. College of West Virginia
Shawnee State split a pair of game with the College of West Virginia.  CWV won game 1 by a score of 3-1.  Erica Brickey took the loss as she gave up 3 runs (2 earned) on 6 hits while striking out 6.  Carrie Kyne drove in Bears' only run with a sacrifice fly.  Shawnee State won Game 2 in eight innings.  Ashley Rawson picked up the complete game win as she allowed 2 runs (1 earned) on 5 hits while striking out 6.  Joni Akers had the game-winning bases loaded single in the bottom of the eighth inning.
 
March 24 vs. Ohio Dominican
Ohio Dominican swept Shawnee State  by scores of 5-4 and 2-1 as the Bears opened conference play.  Erica Brickey took the loss in Game 1 as she allowed 5 runs on 8 hits.  Kristen Graham was 2 for 4 with 3 RBI in the game.  Ashley Rawson got the loss in Game 2 as she gave up 2 runs (1 earned) on 4 hits while striking out 7.  The Bears were held to just 3 hits in the game.
 
March 23 vs. Madonna University
Shawnee State swept Madonna University to pick up their first wins of the season.  The Bears won Game 1 by a score of 8-1.  Erica Brickey benefited from the Bears' best offensive performance of the season as she picked up her first collegiate victory.  Brickey allowed just 1 unearned run on 4 hits.  Amanda Crawford was 3 for 4 with 4 RBI in the game.  Ashley Rawson also picked up her first collegiate victory as the Bears won Game 2 by a score of 3-1.  Rawson allowed 1 unearned run on 3 hits.  Mindy Wolever was 2 for 2 with an RBI and 4 stolen bases.
 
March 17 vs. Union (@ Athens State)
Shawnee State dropped their 3rd game in a row as they fell to Union University by a score of 12-4.  Erica Brickey (0-2) took the loss as she gave up 4 runs in 3 innings of work.  Brandy Orsborne was 3 for 3 at the plate with 2 doubles and an RBI.  Joni Akers had 2 hits and an RBI.
 
March 16 vs. Martin Methodist (@ Athens State)
Shawnee State dropped a 6-1 decision to Martin Methodist.  Ashley Rawson suffered the loss in her first collegiate start as she gave up 6 runs (5 earned) in 6 innings of work.  Shawnee State managed only 2 hits on the day.  The Bears' only run came in the 4th inning.  Carrie Kyne led off with a double and moved to third on a single by Amanda Crawford.  Kyne scored when Joni Akers hit a sacrifice fly to left field.
 
March 16 @ Athens State
Shawnee State dropped a 2-1 decision to Athens State to kick off the 2001 softball season.  Erica Brickey took the loss in her first collegiate start despite giving up just 2 runs in 7 innings.  Brickey struck out six and walked only one.  Unfortunately the Bears could manage only 5 hits on the day.  SSU scored on a sacrifice fly by Candy Pickelsimer in the 5th inning.
