Shawnee State lost to Urbana University 4-0.  Shawnee State was out shot 21-8 in the game.  SSU’s Jonathon Venters recorded 7 saves in the game and Rocky Dunkin tallied 4 saves.  UU’s Ryan Michaels tallied 4 saves in the game. [Box Score]

 
October 19 vs. Mount St. Joseph

Shawnee State tied 1-1 with Mount St. Joseph.  SSU’s Daniel Ross scored the first goal of the game on an assist from Gonzalo Perez-Beck in the 5th minute of the game.  Mount St. Joseph’s Andrew Brockman tied the game with a goal on an assist from Robert Huesman.  MSJ out shot the Bears 20-18 in the game.  SSU’s Jonathon Venters recorded 3 saves in the game.  Mount St. Joseph’s Austin Campbell tallied 8 saves in the game. [Box Score]

Shawnee State beat Berea 1-0. Drew Sampson scored the only goal of the game in the 55th minute of play on an assist from Daniel Ross.  Shawnee State out shot Berea 16-12 in the game.  SSU’s Jonathon Venters had 5 saves in the game.  Berea’s Brett Newton had 6 saves in the game. [Box Score]

Shawnee State lost to Tiffin 5-1.  Drew Sampson scored the only goal of the game for Shawnee State.  He scored 14 minutes into the game on an assist from Gonzalo Perez-Beck.  Shawnee State was out shot 33-2 in the game.  Shawnee State's Jonathon Venters recorded 4 saves, and Rocky Dunkin added 6 saves in the game. October 8 vs. Spalding

Shawnee State lost to Spalding 3-2.  Shawnee State’s Gonzalo Perez-Beck scored the first goal of the game on an assist by Kurt Rininger in the 29th minute of play.  Spalding’s Adis Zafirovic scored a goal on an assist from Reda Akdad at the 52:35 mark of the game to tie the score.  Reda Akdad scored a goal on an assist from Josh Poole to put Spalding up 2-1.  SSU’s Ryan Appell tied the score when he scored a goal on an assist by Drew Sampson.  Zafirovic scored on an assist from Reda Akdad in the 83rd minute of play to give Spalding the victory.  Shawnee State out shot Spalding 21-17 in the game.  SSU’s Jonathon Venters recorded 6 saves in the game.  Spalding’s Asmir Terzic recorded 7 saves in the game. October 4 vs. Walsh

Shawnee State lost to Walsh 7-1.  Drew Sampson scored the only goal for the Bears.  His goal came in the 73rd minute of play on an assist from Daniel Ross.  Walsh out shot Shawnee State 34-2 in the game.  SSU's Jonathon Venters had 3 saves and Rocky Dunkin had 7 saves in the game.  Walsh's Ben Pflum had 3 saves and Chad Ostrowski had 4 saves. September 29 @ Cedarville

Shawnee State suffered its second straight shutout with a 6-0 loss at Cedarville University.  Cedarville jumped in front early with a goal by Ryan Lustig in the game’s 12th minute.  The Yellow Jackets added two more goals within five minutes prior to the end of the half.  The score remained 3-0 until the Yellow Jackets scored 3 goals in under 4 minutes starting in the 83rd minute.  Cedarville out shot Shawnee State 33-4.  Jonathon Venters recorded 13 saves in goal for the Bears. [Box Score]

 
September 27 vs. Rio Grande

Shawnee State lost to second ranked Rio Grande by a 7-0 margin at Valley High School.  Rio Grande scored a pair of goals in the game's 12th minute.  Rio Grande scored again at 42:43 to take a 3-0 halftime lead.  Rio Grande out shot the Bears 31-0. [Box Score]

 
September 23 @ Malone

Shawnee State tied with Malone 1-1.  Josh Judge scored the only goal for the Bears.  The goal came in the 15th minute unassisted.  Malone out shot the Bears 12-6 in the game.  SSU's Jonathon Venters recorded 11 saves in the game. [Box Score]

 
September 17 vs. Point Park

Shawnee State beat Point Park 5-4 in overtime.  Point Park’s Jake Hess scored the first goal of the game on an assist by Dustin Hess at the 24:35 mark.  Shawnee State’s Josh Judge scored on an assist from Matt Lonsinger at the 34:30 mark to tie the game at halftime.  PPU’s Dustin Hess opened the second period with a goal on an assist by Deo Alexander.  Shawnee State’s Gonzalo Perez-Beck then scored twice.  He scored once on an assist by Josh Judge at the 52:29 mark of the game and then unassisted at the 64:02 mark.  PPU’s Dustin Hess tied the game on a penalty kick.  Perez-Beck scored two minutes later on a penalty kick to give the Bears the lead.  With less than a minute to play in the second period, Point Park tied the game with a goal from Deo Alexander on an assist from Dustin Hess.   SSU’s Laban Maina scored 8 minutes in overtime on an assist by Drew Sampson to give the Bears the win.  Point Park and Shawnee State each had 27 shots in the game.  SSU’s Jonathon Venters tallied 7 saves and PPU’s Steve Fabian recorded 9 saves. September 12 vs. St. Francis

Shawnee State lost to University of Saint Francis 2-1.  St. Francis’s Ryan Standish scored the first goal of the game at the 18:14 mark on an assist Pat Ohms.  St. Francis scored again at the 75:49 mark of the game on a goal from Dusan Friga.  Laban Maina scored SSU’s only goal at the 82:06 mark of the game.  Gonzalo Perez-Beck assisted the goal.  Shawnee State and St. Francis each had 11 shots in the game.  SSU’s Jonathon Venters recorded 2 saves in the game.  St. Francis’s Brandon Ingram tallied 4 saves in the game. September 9 vs. Pikeville

Shawnee State got its first win of the season with a 11-0 shutout over Pikeville College.  Gonzalo Perez-Beck led the Bears with 3 goals in the game, while Ryan Appell, Daniel Ross, and Laban Maina scored 2 goals each.  Matt Lonsinger and Isaac Wooten each tallied 1 goal.  Drew Sampson and Graham Purdy recorded 2 assists in the game, as Chris Robinson tallied one.  The Bears out shot Pikeville 45-5 in the game.  SSU’s Jonathon picks up his first shut out of the season as he recorded 2 saves in the game.  Pikeville’s Tyler Thomspon recorded 16 saves in the game. September 3 @ Marian
Shawnee State lost to Marian College by a score of 4-0.  The Bears trailed just 1-0 at the half, but Marian tallied two goals within the first six minutes of the second period to put the game out of reach.  Jonathon Venters allowed 3 goals while recording 7 saves.  Rocky Dunkin recorded 2 saves.  Marian had 11 shots on goal compared to just 2 for Shawnee State. September 2 @ Taylor
Shawnee State lost a 3-0 match to Taylor University.  Taylor out shot Shawnee State 16-7.  Jonathon Venters recorded 6 saves and allowed all 3 goals in the match. [Box Score]
 
August 29 vs. Ohio Valley
Shawnee State dropped its season opener to Ohio Valley University be a score of 3-1.  Shawnee State's lone goal came from Gonzalo Perez-Beck in the first half.  Jonathon Venters recorded 4 saves in the match.  Ohio Valley had 2 goals by Alan Porter.  OVU also benefited from a Shawnee State own goal.  William Bloom tallied 3 saves for OVU.
