November 2 @ Mt. Vernon
Shawnee State closed out the 2002 season with a 6-0 loss to Mt. Vernon Nazarene.  The Bears managed just 6 shots compared to 25 by MVNU.  Rob Appell recorded 7 saves in the loss.
 
November 1 vs. Daemen

Shawnee State fell to the Warriors of Daemen College by a score of 5-1. B.J. Lyon scored the Bears goal on a penalty kick in the second half of play.  Andrew Franco led Daemen with 2 goals.  

 
October 26 vs. Anderson
The Shawnee State University Men's Soccer Team lost to Anderson University 3-1.  The Bears were out scored in the first half two nothing and came back and scored midway thru the second to keep the game close.  But, Anderson pulled away scoring their last goal with eight minutes remaining.  B.J. Durel scored the lone goal for the Bears.  Benjamin Glaser recorded 9 saves on the afternoon.  
 
October 20 vs. Marian
Shawnee State lost 5-1 to Marian College.  B. J. Lyon scored the Bears' lone goal in the match.  Marian out shot the Bears 35-22.  Robert Appell recorded 20 saves in the contest.
 
October 19 vs. Urbana
Urbana shut out Shawnee State 8-0 in American Mideast Conference play.  The Bears managed just 11 shots compared to Urbana's 32.  Benjamin Glaser recorded 10 saves in the loss.
 
October 18 vs. Southern State (Exh.)
Shawnee State defeated Southern State 3-2 in exhibition play.  The Bears got one goal from B. J. Lyon and two goals from Josh Keeney.  Lyon recorded assists on each of Keeney's goals.  Benjamin Glaser recorded one save in the victory.
 
October 16 @ Rio Grande
Shawnee State lost to the University of Rio Grande by a score of 11-0.  The Bears managed just three shots compared to Rio's 31.  Ben Glaser and Rob Appell combined for 10 saves for SSU.
 
October 13 vs. Brescia
Shawnee State lost a 3-2 overtime decision to Brescia University.  Shawnee State held a 2-0 lead in the second half against Brescia University on Sunday.  Brescia scored two goals late to send the match to overtime.  Brescia scored the game-winner during the second minute of the extra period.
  
October 12 @ Tiffin
Tiffin blanked the Bears 8-0.  The Dragons scored 5 goals in one 8-minute stretch and 7 in the first half.  They out shot the Bears 33-3 on the day.  Rob Appell recorded 17 saves in the first half.  Ben Glaser had 8 saves in the second half.
 
October 6 @ Southern State (Exh.)
Shawnee State defeated Southern State 3-1 in exhibition play.  Josh Keeney scored two goals and Walter Iriarte scored a goal.  Akinola Faturiyele recorded an assist in the contest.
 
October 2 @ Baldwin-Wallace

The Shawnee State University Men’s Soccer Team fell to 0-5 on the season as they dropped a 5-2 decision to Baldwin-Wallace College.  Shawnee State got goals from Josh Keeney and B. J. Durel.  B. J. Lyon tallied an assist.  Robert Appell recorded 5 saves on the night.

 
September 29 vs. Georgetown
Shawnee State lost their fourth straight match as they fell to Georgetown College by a score of 7-2.  SSU got goals from Joel Gross and B. J. Lyon.  John McCorkle recorded an assist.
 
September 28 @ Cedarville
Shawnee State was shut out by Cedarville University by a score of 7-0.  Cedarville out shot the Bears 31-4 in the match.  Robert Appell recorded 14 saves for the Bears.
 
September 21 vs. Capital
Capital University defeated Shawnee State by a score of 7-2.  Joel Gross and Conrad Rinto each scored goals for the Bears.  Josh Keeney recorded an assist.  Rob Appell had 7 saves in the match.
 
September 15 vs. Ohio Dominican
Shawnee State opened the 2002 season with a 6-0 loss to Ohio Dominican University.  The Bears defense played strong in the first half as they allowed just one goal in the period.  Ohio Dominican dominated the second half.  Robert Appell recorded 6 saves in the loss.
