November 1 vs. Wilberforce
Shawnee State closed out the 2001 season with an 11-0 victory over Wilberforce University.  Brian Hickman scored 3 goals in the match while Jeremy Reed and Rudy Roediger had two goals apiece.  Matt Pippen had 1 goal and 2 assists.
 
October 30 @ Cedarville
Shawnee State dropped a 9-1 decision to Cedarville University.  The Bears' lone goal came from Conrad Rinto on an assist from Roy Henceroth.  Robert Appell recorded 16 assists in the match.
 
October 27 @ Tiffin
Tiffin University blitzed Shawnee State by a score of 11-0.  This was the 9th match this season in which the Bears failed to score.  Robert Appell recorded 19 saves in the match.
 
October 23 vs. Mt. Vernon
Shawnee State jumped on Mt. Vernon Nazarene early as Andrew Lance scored his first goal of the season three minutes into the match.  The lead was short lived, however.  Mt. Vernon scored 3 goals in a 6-minute span late in the first half.  Mt. Vernon won the match by a final score of 5-1.
 
October 19 @ Geneva
Geneva College shut out Shawnee State by a score of 2-0.  The loss is the fourth consecutive shutout suffered by the Bears.  Robert Appell recorded 17 saves in the match.
 
October 15 vs. Kentucky Christian
Shawnee State dropped a 1-0 decision to Kentucky Christian College on Monday afternoon.  The Bears had several chances to pull out the win with four shots hitting the post or cross bar.  SSU out shot KCC 26-11 in the match.  
 
October 12 vs. Roberts Wesleyan
Roberts Wesleyan College drilled Shawnee State University by a score of 10-0.  RWC out shot SSU 28-5 in the match.  Robert Appell and Matt Pippen combined to record 9 saves in the loss.
 
October 6 vs. Walsh
Walsh University out shot Shawnee State University 27-5 on their way to a 7-0 shut out victory over the Bears.  Tyler Kirkpatrick scored 2 goals for Walsh.  Matt Pippen recorded 11 saves in relief of Robert Appell in goal.
 
October 2 vs. Urbana
Urbana University defeated Shawnee State by a score of 5-2 in AMC play on Tuesday afternoon.  B.J. Lyon scored the Bears’ first goal on a penalty kick in the second half.  It was his second goal of the season.   Brian Hickman scored his first career goal with 1:37 remaining in the game.  Robert Appell records 18 saves in the loss.
 
September 29 @ St. Vincent
Shawnee State lost to St. Vincent College by a score of 4-1.  Brian Fields scored his 3rd goal of the season on an assist from Matt. Pippen.  Robert Appell recorded 15 saves.
 
September 25 @ Ohio Dominican
Shawnee State lost to Ohio Dominican by a score of 6-1.  Brian Fields scored the lone goal for the Bears. The goal came on a penalty kick. Robert Appell  worked the first half in goal and recorded 9 saves. Scott Nathan  recorded 9 saves in the second half. 
 
September 22 @ Point Park
The Shawnee State University Men’s Soccer Team blew a 4-2 half time lead before losing to Point Park College by a score of 7-5 on Saturday.  Shawnee State had tow goals from Jeremy Reed and one goal each from Brian Fields, B. J. Lyon, and B. J. Durel.  Fields tallied three assists while Reed and Durel each had an assist as well.
 
September 18 vs. Rio Grande

The Shawnee State University Men’s Soccer Team dropped an 8-0 decision to the University of Rio Grande. Rio Grande out shot Shawnee State 52-10 on the day.  Robert Appell recorded 18 saves and Scott Nathan recorded 12 saves in the loss.

 
September 15 @ Daemen 
Shawnee State dropped a 4-1 decision to Daemen College.  SSU's lone goal came from Zack Lester on an assist from Jeremy Reed.  Robert Appell recorded 16 saves in the loss.
 
September 14 @ Houghton
Houghton College defeated Shawnee State by a score of 9-0.  Houghton out shot the Bears 40-1.  Scott Nathan recorded 9 saves and Robert Appell recoreded 7 saves for SSU.
 
September 8 vs. Malone
Shawnee State fell to Malone College by a score of 7-2.  The Bears had goals from Kevin Risner and Jeremy Reed.  Rudy Roediger assisted on both.  Robert Appell worked the first half and gave up four goals while recording 8 saves.  Scott Nathan recorded 15 saves in the second half.
 
September 7 vs. Notre Dame
Notre Dame defeated Shawnee State by a score of 3-0 in the Bears' AMC opener.  It was the second consecutive shut out suffered by Shawnee State.  Robert Appell recorded 7 saves in the loss.
 
September 3 @ Kentucky Christian College
Shawnee State played to a 0-0 tie with Kentucky Christian College.  The Bears managed just 3 shots on goal as neither team's offense could get on track.  Robert Appell recorded 13 saves for the Bears in goal.
 
September 2 vs. Thomas More College
Shawnee State opened play on the new SSU Soccer Field with a 2-1 victory over Thomas More College.  Shawnee State had first half goals from B. J. Durel and Matt Pippen.  Both goals came on assists from Brian Fields.  Scott Nathan recorded 17 saves in his first collegiate start in goal.
