Shawnee State blew a
3-0 first half lead as they fell to Campbellsville University 5-3.
Tony Scott scored 2 goals and had an assist in the match. Josh
Lantz added an assist, and Andrew Lance scored a goal.

Tiffin
|
|
Shawnee State lost to
Tiffin University by a score of 9-0 on Tuesday afternoon. Tiffin out
shot the Bears 17-4 in the match. Robert Appel did record 10 saves in
the defeat.

Geneva
|
|
Shawnee State dropped
a 4-1 decision to Geneva College. Taylor Junge scored the match's
first goal on an assist from John McCorkle. Geneva then scored 4
consecutive goals to send the Bears to their 3rd straight loss.

Cedarville
|
|
According to SSU
Coach Ron Goodson, the Bears gave one of their better efforts of the
season despite falling to Cedarville College by a score of 4-2.
Trailing 2-1 at the half, the Bears were unable to generate the offense
to take the lead. Cedarville scored two late goals to ice the
match. Shawnee State's lone goal came from Taylor Junge on an
assist from Roy Henceroth.

Vernon
|
|
Shawnee State was shutout by Mount Vernon Nazarene College 3-0 on
Saturday. The loss marks the 7th time this season the Bears
have been held scoreless.

Kentucky Christian
|
|
B. J. Lyon scored on
an assist from Jeff Martin late in the second period to break a
scoreless tie and secure the 2nd win of the season for the Bears.
Robert Appell worked the entire game to record a shutout in his first
collegiate start.

Malone
|
|
Malone College out
shot Shawnee State 20-6 on their way to a 3-0 victory on Tuesday.
The loss marked the 6th time this season the Bears have been shutout.

Point Park
|
|
Despite their highest
offensive output of the season, the Bears fell to Seton Hill by a score
of 7-5. The Bears had goals from B.J. Lyon, Taylor Junge, Tony
Scott, Jared Waggoner, and Josh Lantz. Shawnee State fell to 1-8 on
the season.

|
|
Shawnee State dropped
their 5th straight decision on Tuesday as they lost to Urbana University
by a score of 4-2. Shawnee State's Taylor Junge scored his second
goal of the season on an assist from Andrew Lance. Jared Waggoner
scored his first goal of the season on an assist from Jeff Martin.

|
Shawnee State was
shut out for the third consecutive AMC match on Saturday as they were
defeated by Rio Grande by a score of 9-0. Rio out shot the Bears
24-2. Joey Hobbs and Robert Appell did combine for 14 keeper saves
in the match.

Ohio Dominican
|
|
Shawnee State dropped
a 4-0 decision to Ohio Dominican to fall to 0-2 in the AMC. Ohio
Dominican out shot the Bears 14-3 on the day as the SSU offense
continued to struggle.

Thomas More College
|
|
Ten days after
defeating Thomas More College 3-1 at home, Shawnee State traveled to Ft.
Mitchell, KY and was shut out 3-0. Despite out shooting Thomas
More 14-5, the Bears were unable to connect with the back of the net.

September 16 vs.
St. Vincent College
|
|
Shawnee State dropped
its conference opener 2-1 to St. Vincent College. St. Vincent
scored both goals in the first half of the match. SSU mounted a
comeback which fell just short. Jeremy Reed scored his first goal
of the season midway through the 2nd half.

Thomas More College
|
|
The Bears got off to
a quick start in their 3-1 victory as freshman B.J. Lyon scored off an
assist from high school teammate, Jeremy Reed, during the fourth minute
of play. SSU added a goal by freshman Taylor Junge during the 35th
minute of play. The goal came on an assist from Lyon. Junior
Tony Scott added the third and final goal for the Bears with 20 minutes
remaining on an assist from Junge. Freshman goal keeper Joey Hobbs
had five saves in the victory.

Centre College (@ Anderson Tournament)

|
Centre College
defeated the Bears in the consolation game of the Anderson Classic by a
score of 6-0.

|
Shawnee
State fell in the opening round of the Anderson Classic to the host
team. Anderson out shot the Bears 15 - 5 on their way to the 6-0
victory. Freshmen goalkeepers Joey Hobbs and Robert Appell had 5
and 4 saves respectively.
