The Shawnee State Golf Team placed
8th out of 10 teams at the AMC/NAIA Region IX Golf Tournament
played at Apple Valley Golf Club last week. The Bears shot
a 3-round total 942. Malone College won their 5th straight
championship with an 873. Joe Augustin led the Bears with
a score of 230 and tied for 17th place. Bryan Spille was
23rd with a score of 232. Quinn Cole placed 28th with a
235. David Mays carded a 247 for 43rd. Place. |

April 19 - 20 @ Ohio Northern Invitational |
|
Shawnee State placed 14th
out of 18 teams in the Ohio Northern Invitational. Owens
CC won the 36-hole event with a team total of 590. Quinn
Cole led the Bears with a 156 (81+75), followed by Bryan Spille
with a 159 (84+75). Joe Augustin tallied a 161 (82+79) and R.D.
Erwin totaled a 166 (78+88). David Mays rounded up the
scoring for the Bears with a 173 (84+89). |

April 4 - 5 @ Capital Invitational |
|
Shawnee State tied for 6th
place in the Capital University Purple & White Invitational.
The Bears shot a team total 646. Ohio Dominican won the
eleven-team event with a score of 616. R.D. Erwin led the
Bears with a two-day total of 159 and tied for 15th place.
Quinn Cole tied for 18th one stroke back at 160. Joe
Augustin shot 163 followed by Bryan Spille's 164. |

March 31 - April 1 @ Cedarville Invitational |
|
Shawnee State finished 7th out of 9
teams at the Cedarville Invitational.
The Bears shot a 320 on Monday at Beavercreek Golf Club followed
by a 326 at the Country Club of the North on Tuesday for a team
total of 646. Mt. Vernon and Cedarville tied atop the
event with scores of 610. Mt. Vernon won on a 5th score
tiebreaker. Brian Spille led the Bears
with score of 156 to tie for 12th place. Quinn Cole
placed 24th with a score 160. Joe Augustin shot a 164
followed by R. D. Erwin's 166. |

March 21 - 22 @ Shawnee State Invitational |
|
Shawnee State defeated OU-Chillicothe to win its
fifth Shawnee State University Invitational at the Elk's Golf
Club. Shawnee State carded a two-day total of 627 compared
to OU-Chillicothe's 676. Quinn Cole was the individual
medalist as he shot a 76 followed by an 80 for a two-day total
of 156. Brian Spille and R. D. Erwin each carded a 158.
Joe Augustin shot 159. David Mays scored 167. |

September 9 - 10 |
|
Shawnee State finished 4th out of 9 teams at the
Urbana Invitational with a team score of 477. Owens C.C.
won the event with a team score of 446. R.D. Erwin led the
Bears as he tied for 7th place with a score of 114. Bryan
Spille shot a 119 and Cole Quinn shot a 121. David May
scored a 123 and Nicholas Chabot shot a 126. |

|
Shawnee State placed 7th out of 10 teams at the
Glenville Fall Invitational with a score of 619. Fairmont
State won the event with a team score of 590. David Mays led the Bears with as
he tied for 9th place with a score of 148
(72+76) over two days. Bryan Spille scored 155 (75+80) and
Quinn Cole scored 159 (79+80). Nicholas Chabot and R.D.
Erwin each shot a score of 160. |

|
Shawnee State placed 14th at the Burger King
Invitational with a score of 627. Indiana of PA won the
event with a team score of 573. Shawnee State was led by
Bryan Spille as he shot a two-day score of 151 (74+77).
Nicholas Chabot tallied a 153 (76+77) and R.D. Erwin shot a 161
(83+78). David May and Quinn Cole rounded out the scoring
with a 164 (84+78) and a 166 (85+81). |
