2010 Season -- Michael had a stellar final season for the Bears. He had five top-10 finishes, including placing 2nd at the Great Lake Challenge and Shawnee State Invitational. He ran a career best (24:42) at the All-Ohio Meet on October 1 for the second fastest time in SSU history and become SSU's second fastest runner. He ran a time of 25:26 at the Mid-South Championship to place 3rd overall, earning All-MSC honors and guiding the Bears perfect score to capture their first conference title. At the NAIA Meet he ran a time of 26:00 to help the Bears place 4th overall for the second consecutive year. Michael was named an NAIA Scholar Athlete and to the MSC All-Academic Team.

2009 Season -- Michael placed 11th at the AMC Championship with a time of 26:08 to earn 2nd Team All-AMC recognition.  He ran his career best (25:36) at the Aquinas Invitational on October 24.  Michael is the 4th fast runner in Shawnee State history. 

2008 Season -- Michael finished 19th at the AMC/NAIA Region IX Championship and 122nd at the NAIA National Championship Meet. He ran his best time of the season at the NAIA National Championship Meet on November 22 with a time of 26:16.  Michael is the 8th fastest runner in SSU history.

2007 Season -- Michael had a successful freshman season. He recorded 3 Top 10 finishes including 2nd at the Shawnee State Invitational. He ran his best time of the season (25:58) at the Wilmington Classic on October 12.

Eastern High School --  Michael placed 14th in the State meet his senior year. He was also a state qualifier in the 3200 meter run.
