November 7 @ American Mideast Conference Meet @ Cedarville University
The No. 6 NAIA ranked Shawnee State men's cross country team finished 2nd at the American Mideast Conference Meet on Saturday afternoon at Cedarville. The men's race was close for the first two and half miles, but then NAIA No. 1 ranked Malone made a surge to pull away from the Bears and go onto win the AMC Championship. The Pioneers won the race with 19 points, the Bears finished 2nd with 55 points, and Cedarville captured 3rd with 71 points.  The NAIA No. 5 ranked Shawnee State will receive an at-large bid to the NAIA National Championship Meet in Vancouver, Washington on Saturday, November 21.  Freshman Galen Dills led the Bears as he finished 8th overall and he ran the course in 25:58, while junior Josh Linkous finished right behind Dills as he completed the course in 26:03 to earn 2nd Team All-AMC honors.  Junior Michael Owen also earned 2nd Team All-AMC recognition as he placed 11th in a time of 26:08.  Shawnee State's next five runners came in a pack placing 14th through 17th.  Sophomore Shane Meyer earned 2nd Team honors as he led the pack as he finished in 26:14, followed by senior Corey Culbertson in 26:24, followed by junior Chuck Wentz in 26:37.  Senior Tyler Hickey and junior Justin Hornick rounded out the scoring for the Bears as they completed the course in 26:42 and 26:50 respectively. Culbertson, Wentz, Hickey, and Hornick each earned Honorable Mention All-AMC recognition.  [Results]
 
October 24 @ Aquinas Invitation
NAIA No. 6 ranked Shawnee State men's cross country team fell to host No. 7 Aquinas by just one point.  Aquinas won the 21 team invitational with 57 points, while the Bears finished with 58 and AMC foe Cedarville finished 3rd with 121 points.  Shawnee State and Aquinas got out fast and dominated the race.  Aquinas' Dustin Heiler and Mike Gravelyn placed 3rd and 5th overall and before Shawnee State's number one runner junior Josh Linkous.  Linkous finished 6th overall, followed by senior Corey Culbertson who finished 7th as both runner finished the course in 25:33, while junior Michael Owen placed 9th in a time of 25:36.  Aquinas' third and fourth runners finished 11th and 15th overall in times of 25:39 and 25:58, edging the Bears' freshman Galen Dills who placed 16th in a time of 25:59.  Shawnee State's fifth runner sophomore Shane Meyer finished 20 with a time of 26:04, beating Aquinas' fifth runner who finished 23rd.  Juniors Chuck Wentz and Justin Hornick rounded out the scoring for the Bears as they placed 20th and 24th, finishing the course in 26:13 and 26:14.  [Results]
 
October 11 @ Gibson Family Invitation
The NAIA No. 9 ranked Shawnee State men's cross country won the Gibson Famliy Invitational by an impressive score of 31.  Shawnee State out ran 2nd place Purdue by 32 points.  Cedarville finished 4th with a score of 110.  Corey Culbertson won the meet in a time of 25:52.  Josh Linkous placed 4th in the meet running the course in 26:03.  Michael Owen finished 7th in 26:08.  Galen Dills and Chuck Wentz finished 9th and 10th as they ran 26:10 and 26:14 respectively.  Rounding out the scoring was Tyler Hickey as he placed 13th overall and ran a time of 26:17.  Shane Meyer finished the course in 26:19 to place 15th overall.  [Results]
 
October 2 @ All-Ohio Meet

The NAIA No. 9 ranked Shawnee State Bears finished 3rd at the All-Ohio Meet.  Ohio State won the event with 28 points, while AMC and NAIA No. 1 Malone finished 2nd with 76.  Shawnee State finished only 19 points behind of Malone for 3rd.  Shawnee State beat numerous NCAA Division I teams including the University of Cincinnati, Ohio University, and the University of Akron.  Michael Owen and Corey Culbertson led the Bears as they finished 13th and 14th and ran the course in 27:00.  Galen Dills finished 19th overall and ran a time of 27:14, while Shane Meyer ran 27:25 and finished 22 overall.  Josh Linkous finished the course in 27:34 to finish 26.  Rounding out the scoring for the Bears was Chuck Wentz who ran 27:43 to finish 39 and Tyler Hickey who ran 28:07 to finish 60. September 19 @ Friendship Invitational

NAIA No. 12 ranked Shawnee State men's cross country team won the 19th Annual Friendship at Cedarville University beating the NAIA No. 11 ranked Yellow Jackets.  The Bears tallied a score of 29 to win the meet and Cedarville finished 2nd with a score of 81.  Michael Owen led the Bears as he finished 2nd overall and finished the course in a personal best of 25:41.  Corey Culbertson placed 4th overall in a time of 25:45.  Shane Meyer and Josh Linkous each ran personal bests as they finished 6th and 7th overall, finishing the course in 25:54 and 25:55.  Galen Dills ran 26:05 to finish 10th overall.  Rounding out the scoring for the Bears was Tyler Hickey who finished 19th overall and ran 26:20 and Chuck Wentz who ran a time of 26:26 and finished 22nd overall. September 4 @ Shawnee State Invitational
The Shawnee State men's cross country team took the first eight places and tallied a perfect score of 15 to win the SSU Invitational for the eighth consecutive year.  The NAIA No. 19 ranked Bears dominated the five team race, beating 2nd place Mount Vernon Nazarene University by 41 points.  Corey Culbertson won the meet as he finished the 8K course in 25:44.  Galen Dills finished 2nd with a time of 25:47, while Michael Owen finished 3rd in 25:53.  Chuck Wentz finished 4th for the Bears in 26:06, Josh Linkous placed 5th with a time of 26:07, and Shane Meyer finished 6th in 26:08.  Tyler Hickey and Joe Jinks covered the course with times of 26:18 and 26:24 respectively to capture the top eight finishes.
