could be an All-American this season, but will have to work harder
than he has ever worked at anything at his entire life."
2006 Season --
Larry had a successful senior season, including 4 top-ten finishes.
He ran his best time of the season at the
AMC/NAIA Region IX Championship Meet. He
finished the
course in 25:59 to place 10th and qualify and earn 2nd-Team All-AMC
honors.
2005 Season -- Larry
had 7 top-ten finishes, including finishing 1st at the Rio Grande
Invitational. He holds 3 of the top-five fastest times as a Shawnee
runner. He ran his career-best and 3rd fastest time for a Shawnee
runner at the Wilmington Fall Classic. He ran a time of 25:56
and placed 4th overall. He finished 4th at the AMC/NAIA Region IX
Championship earning him 1st-Team All-AMC
honors.
2004 Season -- Larry had one
top-ten finish on the year, a 3rd place finish at the Rio Grande
Invitational. He placed 13th at the AMC Championship Meet and
earned 2nd Team All-AMC honors. His best time of the year
(26:58) came at the NAIA National Championship Meet in Louisville,
KY.
2003 Season --
Larry had an impressive freshman season. His season best time
of 26:09 came at the Wilmington Invitational and earned him the
number five spot on the SSU Top 25 Fastest Times. His time was
also the
fastest time ever for a freshman. Larry was named 2nd Team All
AMC Conference and qualified for the NAIA National Championship with
the team. He had five top ten meet finishes and was named the
team's Outstanding Freshman Runner.
Carrollton High School -- Gardner
is a 3-time state qualifier. He
finished 8th in the State Championship Meet as a senior.
He twice earned All-State honors.
