Coach's Comments -- "Brett
returns for his senior season with a dedication to make it a special
season. He will break and set new records! 25:00's are
possible!"
2004 Season -- Brett had one
of the most successful seasons in SSU Cross Country history in 2004.
He had six top-ten finishes including a 7th place finish at the AMC/NAIA
Region IX Championship Meet. He became the first Bear ever to
earn 1st Team All-AMC honors. His 83rd place finish at the
NAIA National Championship Meet is the highest ever finish for a
Bear.
2003 Season --
Brett had another good season. His new career best time of
26:07 at the Friendship Invitational, places him in the number
three spot of the fastest 25 times for SSU. He had five top
ten meet finishes and ran in the NAIA National Championship meet.
2002 Season -- Brett had an
outstanding sophomore campaign. He had six top 10 finishes and
recorded four of the fastest 25 times in SSU history. His
personal best time of 26:10 came at the Wilmington Invitational.
He was named the Most Improved runner on the squad.
2001 Season -- Brett had a
solid freshman campaign as he had four top 10 finishes and recorded
four of the top 20 times in SSU history.
Triad High School -- Brett
earned All-League honors twice and All-District honors in cross
country. He also ran track and played basketball.
