-- "Craig had an outstanding freshman season running
#4 on the team! He received the Outstanding Freshman
Runner Award. He will be a consistent 26:00 runner this year. He is
one of the keys to our success this season."
2003 Season --
Craig had two top-ten finishes and ran in the number 4 spot.
He ran a career best time of 26:26 at the Wilmington
Invitational. He was named 2nd Team All AMC Conference
and ran at the NAIA National Championship with the first SSU Cross
Country team to qualify for the National Championship
meet.
2002 Season -- Craig
ran a career best time of 27:12 at the Rio Grande
Invitational where he placed 10th. He ran a solid
number 4 all season long, and had four top-ten finishes.
He received the team's Outstanding Freshman Runner
award. He recorded two of the 25 fastest times in SSU
history.
Waverly High School --
Craig was a four-time all-conference and all-district
honoree. He was
the SOC champion twice.
He was named to the all-region team three times, and
qualified for the state meet all four years of his high
school career. Arnett
also ran track at Waverly.
He twice won SOC championships in the 1600 and the
3200. He also
won the 3200 event at the district and regional meets.
