| Coach's Comments --
Garrett
joined the team late in the season and did not officially
complete. He has trained very hard this past winter and
spring and is in a great position to make the travel squad.
His goal is to be in the 27:00 range.
2002 Season -- Garrett
ran in all but one meet as a freshman. He recorded two
top 10 finishes. His personal best time of 29:06 came
at the Wilmington Invitational.
Greenfield McClain High
School -- Garrett was a four-year letter
winner in cross country, track, and swimming. He
earned the 4-Year Athlete Award and Most Improved Swimmer
while at Greenfield McClain.
Up-Close -- Garrett is the son
of Thomas and Patricia Smith. Garrett enjoys playing
the drums and is majoring in Early Childhood Education.
