| Coach's
Comments -- Trent just completed his first year of
College competition. He ran in the #5, #6, #7 position
during the season and finished strong at the season's end.
He is a tough competitor and knows what it takes to be in
the top five on the team. He should run in the low 27:00
range this fall.
2002 Season -- Trent
recorded his career-best time of 27:47 at the Wilmington
Invitational where the Bears finished 2nd of 19 teams.
2001 Season -- Trent ran in all
but the first race during his first season for the
Bears. He recorded his season-best time of 28:06 at
the SSU Invitational.
South
Webster High School -- Hyland
was captain of his cross country and track teams, receiving
numerous awards including 3-time Team MVP, All-League and
All-District. He also lettered in basketball.

Up Close -- Born September
14, 1978, Trent is the son of Tim Hyland and Paulette Long. He
enjoys listening to music, computers, and playing basketball
& chess, and is a member of the Ohio Army National
Guard. He is double-majoring in Computer Engineering
and Sports Management.
