Coach's Comments -- "Rich came on very
strong towards the end of last season, after recovering from knee
surgery. His size and
strength make him a very difficult player to defend.
He had an excellent spring and is in the best shape since
joining the program. We
are looking forward to Rich picking up where he left off."
2004
- 2005 Season -- Rich nearly tripled his scoring average in
his final season with the Bears. He exploded for a
career-high 32 points in an 84-79 overtime win over Notre Dame on
December 3. He reached double figures 19 times and recorded
1 double-double. He earned Honorable Mention All-American
Mideast Conference honors.
2003
- 2004 Season -- Rich played in 25 games and made 5
starts as a junior for the Bears. His best game of the
season came at Ohio Dominican where he scored 11 points and
grabbed 6 rebounds in a 79-71 Bears win.
2002 - 2003 Season --
Rich played in 24 games as a sophomore. He had a
career game in a win over OU-Chillicothe on December
28. He scored 23 points and grabbed 6 rebounds to go
along with 3 steals.
2001 - 2002 Season -- Richard played in 29
games as a freshman for the Bears. He recorded a double-double
with 10 points and 13 rebounds in a win over Circleville Bible
College.
Oberlin High School --Richard
was a four-year letter winner and scored 1200 points at
Oberlin. He led
the district in double-doubles.
He earned 2nd Team All-Ohio, 1st Team
All-Conference, and 1st Team All-County honors.
