Coach's Comments --
"Jason is returning
after missing last season from shoulder surgery. JB is a very athletic and physical point guard who can
influence games in a wide variety of ways.
He is able to get the ball up the floor as quickly as any
player I have coached. His
defense and leadership will be an important factor in the team’s
success."
2003 - 2004 Season -- Jason took a redshirt
in 2003-2004 due
to a shoulder injury suffered in the pre-season.
2002 - 2003 Season --
Jason played in 23 games during his first season at
SSU. He scored 15 points and hit the game-winning
3-pointer in his first game of the season, an 86-83 win over
Campbellsville University.
Vincennes University -- Jason
played for two seasons at Vincennes. Burston averaged 3.4
points, 1.9 rebound, and 3.4 assists per game as a
freshman. He earned Team Defensive Player of the Year
honors as a sophomore.
South Lakes High School -- Jason
was a four-year letter winner at South Lakes and helped lead
his team to the state championship game. Jason earned All-Region honors.
