Coach's Comments --
Jonathon has been a starter the last two years but
will move to the bullpen until he can regain the command he showed
as a freshman. He has worked very hard on his conditioning and off
speed pitches. The fact that he wants the ball in any situation
should pay off for us early in the bullpen."
2007 Season
-- Jonathon was 1st on the team with 51.2 innings pitched.
He compiled a 3-3 record and 1 save with an ERA of 3.14 in 11 appearances.
Jonathon earned Honorable Mention All-AMC recognition.
2006 Season
-- Jonathon was 4th on
the squad with 40.2 innings pitched in 2006. He compiled an 1-6
record with an ERA of 6.42 in 11 appearances.
2005 Season -- Jonathon emerged as the
Bears #2 starter as a freshman. He compiled a 4-3 record with
an ERA of 4.26. Opposing batters hit just .257 off Venters and
he was second on the team with 35 strikeouts.
Xenia High School -- Jonathon was
three-year letter winner in soccer and baseball at
Xenia.
