Coach's Comments -- "Ryan
saw most of his action in the outfield last season. This year,
he will play 1st base and DH. He isn't your typical big target
at 1st, but he is athletic enough to make up for it. We will
need him to utilize his speed at the top of the lineup."
2005 Season -- Ryan played in 34 games as a
junior in 2005. He had five multi-hit games on the year.
He was 4 for 4 with 3 runs scored and 3 RBI in a 14-4 Bears win over
Pikeville College on April 12. 2004 Season -- Ryan was
limited to just 30 games due to a leg injury suffered in the series
with Ohio Dominican. Despite limited action, he was 3rd on the
team with 14 walks on the season. Ryan had 4 multi-hit games,
including 2 3-hit contests.
Urbana University --
Ryan played catcher and right field for Urbana. He compiled a
.301 batting average.
Logan Elm High School --
During his three years as a letter winner in baseball, Ryan earned
All-League and All-District selections. He was named team MVP,
and best defensive player. He earned a school record for runs
scored in one season with 38. Ryan also lettered in football
two years, and two years in basketball.
