Coach's Comments -- "R.
J. has improved tremendously on his throwing ability and greatly
decreased his time to 2nd base. If he can begin to play with
confidence, he can be very successful. His swing is coming
around and he tends to find his way to base."
2005 Season -- In 28 games as a junior, R. J.
had a .283 average with 1 homerun, 3 doubles, and 12 RBI. He
had two multi-hit games on the year. 2004 Season -- R. J. played in
23 games and started 13. He hit .214 with 3 doubles and 7
RBI. His best game of the season came in a 9-10 loss to Walsh
on March 14. He was 2-3 with 2 doubles, 2 RBI, and 1 run
scored.
2003 Season -- R.J. played in
23 games and started 14. He hit .188 and posted a .986
fielding percentage.
St. Xavier High School
– R.J. was a 3-year letter in football and a 2-year letter winner
in baseball at St. Xavier. He was also awarded All-League and
All-City honors.
