Coach's Comments -- "Nick will make an impact early for us in 2005.  His stuff is dominating.  Nick probably hit 85-86mph at the tryout.  If Nick sticks to the strength and conditioning program he could throw 5-10mph faster over the next 3-4 years.  Nick also plays the outfield to utilize his 6.7 speed."

2005 Season -- Nick saw limited action as a freshman.  He made 7 relief pitching appearances and numerous appearances as a pinch runner. 

Ironton High School -- Nick was a four-year letter winner in baseball and basketball at Ironton High School.  He lettered twice in football.
