May 10 vs. Point Park
Shawnee State's season came to an end as they lost to Point Park College by a score of 8-9 in the NAIA Region IX Tournament.  Jeff Kobozowicz gave up 7 runs in 4.2 innings and was pinned with the loss.  Alan Smith was 2 for 5 with 2 RBI's.  Jake Sperry was 1 for 4 with 3 RBI's. 
 
May 10 vs. Mt. Vernon Nazarene
Shawnee State lost a 7-4 decision to Mt. Vernon Nazarene in the second round of the NAIA Region IX Tournament.  Brad Hall (5-1) was tagged with the loss as he gave up 4 runs in 7.1 innings.  
 
May 9 vs. Ohio Dominican
Shawnee State defeated Ohio Dominican College by a score of 7-1 in the opening round of the NAIA Region IX Tournament.  Brandon Hutchinson (8-3) pitched the nine inning complete game to pick up the victory.  Jake Sperry was 3 for 4 in the game with 3 RBI's and a homerun.  Freddie Brassfield had a homerun and 3 RBI's as well.
 
May 4 @ Urbana
Shawnee State split a double-header with Urbana University by scores of 13-11 and 5-6.  Richie Schnurr (2-0) picked up the win in relief in Game 1.  Alan Smith and Jake Sperry were each 4 for 5 in the game.  Jon Estep was 3 for 4 with 4 RBI's.  Despite pitching well in relief, Lou Heffner (2-1) was tagged with the loss in Game 2.  Freddie Brassfield was 2 for 2 with an RBI and a stolen base.
 
May 2 @ OU-Lancaster

Shawnee State swept OU-Lancaster on Wednesday by scores of 15-1 and 16-3.  Shawnee State improves to 30-12 on the season.  A. J. Hurst (3-0) picked up the win in Game 1 as he scattered 4 hits in four innings.  Trevor Vaught was 4 for 4 in the game with 3 runs scored.  Jake Sperry was 3 for 3 with a homerun, double, and 4 RBI.  Chris Poole (2-0) picked up the win in Game 2.  Dustin Kennard was 3 for 3 with a triple and 2 RBI's.

 
April 29 vs. St. Vincent
Shawnee State swept a double-header from St. Vincent College by scores of 7-1 and 14-4.  Brad Hall improved to 5-0 on the season as he allowed just four hits in Game 1.  Alan Smith was a homerun short of hitting for the cycle as he went 3 for 4 with 2 runs scored.  Brandon Hutchinson was 3 for 3 with 3 RBI's.  Shawnee State won Game 2 behind five strong innings from Lou Heffner (2-0).  Brandon Hutchinson was 2 for 3 with a homerun and 3 RBI's.  Trevor Vaught was 2 for 3 with a homerun and 2 RBI's.
 
April 28 vs. Point Park
Shawnee State dropped a double-header to AMC leading Point Park College by scores of 3-12 and 1-3.  Shawnee State managed just 4 hits and committed 3 errors in Game 1.  All three runs came on a bases clearing double by Jon Estep in the 4th inning.  Point Park pitching dominated the Bears in Game 2 as well.  The Bears had just 5 hits in the game.
 
April 25 vs. OU-Chillicothe
Shawnee State defeated OU-Chillicothe 14-1 on Wednesday as they improved to 26-10 on the season.  Chris Poole (1-0) picked up the win in relief as he struck out the side in the 5th inning.  Shawnee State pounded out 15 hits in the game.  Ted Tom, Matt Lyons, Eris Ben, Dustin Kennard, and Freddie Brassfield all hit homeruns for the Bears.
 
April 24 @ Rio Grande
Shawnee State swept a double-header from Rio Grande by scores of 10-7 and 6-5.  Dereck Heming evened his record at 3-3 as he picked up the win in Game 1.  Trevor Vaught was 3 for 3 with 2 RBI's in the game.  Alan Smith, Brian Bachman, Brandon Hutchinson, and Jon Estep each collected 2 hits in the game.  A. J. Hurst picked up the win in Game 2 as he allowed 3 runs in 6 innings of work.  Alan Smith and Keenan Perry each went 3 for 4 in the game.
 
April 23 @ Cedarville
Shawnee State swept a double-header from Cedarville University by scores of 2-1 and 7-1.  Brad Hall (4-0) picked up the win in Game 1 as he allowed 4 hits while striking out 5.  Keenan Perry was 2 for 3 with a run scored.  Brian Bachman was 1 for 1 with a run scored and an RBI.  Lou Heffner (1-0) picked up the win in Game 2.  In his first start of the season, he scattered 5 hits and allowed just 1 unearned run.  Jake Sperry was 3 for 4 with a homerun and a double.  Fred Brassfield was 2 for 3 with 2 RBI's.
 
April 21 vs. Mt. Vernon Nazarene
Shawnee State split a double-header with AMC leader, Mt. Vernon Nazarene College.  Brandon Huthchinson (7-2) pitched a 3-hit shutout in Game 1, as the Bears won by a score of 5-0.  Jake Sperry and Brian Bachman each collected 3 hits in the game.  Alan Smith hit his 3rd homerun of the season.  Jeff Kobzowicz (5-3) allowed 3 runs in the first inning of Game 2 and the Bears were unable to recover.  MVNC won 7-5.  Alan Smith was 2 for 3 with a double and 3 RBI's.
 
April 14 @ Malone
Shawnee State dropped a double-header to Malone College by scores of 4-3 and 10-7.  Brandon Hutchinson picked up the loss in Game 1 as he allowed 2 runs in the bottom of the 7th inning.  Shawnee State scored 3 runs despite collecting only 3 hits in the game.  Fred Brassfield was 1 for 3 with a run scored and 2 RBI's.  Jeff Kobzowicz allowed 1 run in the first inning and was tagged with the loss.  Chris Poole worked the 2nd and 3rd innings and allowed 7 runs on 10 hits.  Joe Buringrud was 3 for 4 in the game with a run scored and 2 RBI's.
 
April 13 @ Walsh
Shawnee State split a double-header with Walsh University by scores of 14-11 and 9-12.  A. J. Hurst picked up the win in Game 1 as he worked 1.2 innings in relief of Brad Hall.  Tim Newton had the save.  Alan Smith had 3 hits and 3 RBI's.  Brian Bachman and Brandon Hutchinson each had 2 hits in the game.  Joe Moose was tagged with the loss in Game 2.  He gave up 5 runs in just 3 innings of work.  Alan Smith and Brandon Hutchinson each had 2 hits in the game. 
 
April 9 @ Thomas More
Shawnee State swept a double-header from Thomas More College by scores of 9-7 and 10-6 on Monday afternoon.  Rich Schnurr picked up the win in his first collegiate start.  He scattered 7 hits over 6 innings and struck out 3 while allowing 3 runs.  Trevor Vaught was 3 for 3 in the game with a homerun and 4 RBIs.  Dereck Heming picked up the win in relief of Jason Williams in Game 2.  Heming worked 5 innings of no-hit baseball after replacing Williams in the third inning.  Jake Sperry was 2 for 3 with a homerun and 5 RBIs.  Trevor Vaught was 3 for 4 with 4 stolen bases.
 
April 8 @ Ohio University
Shawnee State had a 10-4 lead entering the 8th inning of yesterday's non-conference match up with NCAA Division I Ohio University on Sunday.  Ohio scored 4 times in the eighth and 3 times in the ninth to down the Bears.  Keenan Perry was 3 for 4 with a homerun and 6 RBI.  Alan Smith was 2 for 4 with 2 runs scored.
 
April 7 vs. Tiffin
Shawnee State swept an AMC double-header with Tiffin University by scores of 10-3 and 10-2.  Brandon Hutchinson (6-1) scattered 9 hits over 7 innings to pick up the win in Game 1.  Brian Bachman hit his 2nd homerun in as many games as he went 2 for 3 on the day.  Keenan Perry was 3 for 4 with a double and an RBI.  Jeff Kobzowicz  pitched a complete game 3-hitter to improve to 5-1 on the season.  Brian Bachman hit his 2nd grand slam in 3 games and drove in 5 runs.  Keenan Perry was 3 for 4.
 
April 5 @ Ohio University
Shawnee State dropped a 15-11 slugfest to NCAA Division I Ohio University.  Dereck Heming took the loss as he allowed 8 runs in 4 innings.  Joe Buringrud was a staggering 6 for 6 on the day with a homerun and 2 doubles.  Brian Bachman was 3 for 4 with a grand slam and 6 RBI.
 
March 31 vs. Geneva
Shawnee State swept Geneva College by scores of 8-4 and 12-8 to improve to 3-1 in the American Mideast Conference.  Brad Hall (3-0) picked up the win in Game 1as he gave up two runs in 5 innings while striking out 4.  Jake Sperry was 2 for 3 with 3 RBI and a homerun.  Keenan Perry was 2 for 4 with a homerun and 2 runs scored.  Brandon Hutchinson (5-1) picked up the win in relief in Game 2 as he pitched 3 innings of 2-hit baseball.  Jon Estep was 2 for 3 with 5 RBI and a grand slam.  Trevor Vaught was 1 for 2 with 3 runs scored.
 
March 27 vs. Ohio Dominican
Shawnee State split a double-header with Ohio Dominican by scores of 8-1 and 6-2.  Brandon Hutchinson (4-1) got the win in Game 1 as he gave up just 1 run in 6 innings.  He added a 3-run homerun in the 5th inning to ice the game.  Trevor Vaught was 2 for 2 with 2 runs scored and 3 stolen bases.  Jeff Kobzowicz (4-1) suffered his first defeat of the season as he gave up 5 runs in 4 1/3 innings.  The Bears' 7th inning rally fell short as Joe Buringrud bounced into a bases loaded double play to end the game. 
 
March 23 vs. OU-Lancaster
The Shawnee State University Baseball Team defeated OU-Lancaster in a pair of games on Friday.  The final score in each game was 13-3.  Jeff Kobzowicz (4-0) picked up the win in Game 1.  He pitched 3 innings in relief of Justin Sears and allowed just 2 hits while striking out 6.  Jon Estep was 3 for 4 in the game with 4 RBI and 3 runs scored.  Brandon Hutchinson (3-1) won Game 2 in relief.  In 2 innings of work he did not allow a hit and struck out 5.  Keenan Perry was 2 for 2 with 4 RBI.
 
March 18 vs. Lambuth
The Bears snapped a 2-game skid as they defeated Lambuth University to salvage game of a 3-game set.  Jeff Kobzowicz picked up his 3rd victory of the season as the Bears won 8-5.  Kobzowicz gave up 3 runs in 6 innings while striking out six and walking only one.  Catcher Jake Sperry was 3 for 4 on the day as he drove in 2 runs with a double and a homerun. 
 
March 17 vs. Lambuth
Shawnee State dropped a double-header to Lambuth University by scores of 9-3 and 9-1.  Dereck Heming (1-2) took the loss in the first game as he gave up 7 runs (6 earned) in 5 innings of work.  Keenan Perry was 2 for 4 in Game 1 with an RBI.  Trevor Vaught was 2 for 3 with and RBI and a run scored.  Brandon Hutchinson lost the nightcap giving up 6 runs on 7 hits in 5 innings.  Shawnee State's lone run came on an RBI double from Hutchinson in the second inning.
 
March 11 vs. Fairmont State
Shawnee State swept a double-header from Fairmont State by scores of 13-11 and 7-2.  Joe Moose (1-0) picked up the win in relief in Game 1.  Keenan Perry was 4 for 4 in the game with a double, two homeruns, and 3 RBI.. Brandon Hutchinson drove in 4 runs with two hits in the game.  Brandon Hutchinson picked up the win in Game 2 as he allowed 1 run in 5 innings.  Fred Brassfield was 2 for 3 with 2 RBI and 2 runs scored.
 
March 10 vs. Capital
Shawnee State defeated Capital University by scores of 18-2 and 9-5.  Jeff Kobzowicz (2-0) picked up the win in Game 1 as he allowed 2 runs in 5 innings.  He struck out 6 and gave up 2 walks.  Fred Brassfield was 2 for 2 with 3 runs scored and 2 RBI while Trevor Vaught was 2 for 2 with 3 RBI, 3 runs scored, and 2 stolen bases.  Jason Williams picked up the win in Game 2.  Shannon Brown was 3 for 4 including 2 doubles.  He scored 3 runs and drove in two.  Keenan Perry was 3 for 3 on the day, and Joe Buringrud was 3 for 4 with 2 RBI.
 
March 3 vs. West Virginia Tech
Shawnee State swept a double-header from West Virginia Tech by scores of 12-2 and 10-0.  Dereck Heming picked up the win in Game 1 as he allowed 2 runs on 5 hits in four innings of work.  Joe Buringrud was 3 for 2 with 3 RBI and 2 runs scored.  Jake Sperry was 2 for 2 including a homerun.  Jeff Kobzowicz threw a no-hitter in Game 2 to pick up the win in his first collegiate start.  He struck out seven and did not allow a walk.  An error by shortstop, Trevor Vaught, in the third inning wiped out the perfect game.  Fred Brassfield was 2 for 2 with 3 runs scored.  He stole 4 bases in the game giving 8 on the day.
 
February 28 vs. Transylvania
Shawnee State defeated Transylvania by a score of 9-2.  Brad Hall (2-0) picked up the win allowing 1 run in 5 innings.  Brandon Hutchinson worked 4 innings giving up 1 run on 2 hits.  Jon Estep was 2 for 5 with a homerun and 3 RBI.  Brian Bachman was 2 for 4 with 2 RBI.
 
February 23 @ Crichton
Shawnee State swept a double-header from Crichton Christian College by scores of 12-0 and 8-0.  Brad Hall picked up the win in Game 1 as he allowed just 1 hit in 4 innings of work.  Brandon Hutchinson hit a homerun and drove in 4 runs.  Shannon Brown was 2 for 2 with 2 RBI as was Trevor Vaught.  Vaught added 3 stolen bases.  Brandon Hutchinson allowed 4 hits in 4 innings as he picked up his 1st win of the season.  Fred Brassfield was 2 for 4 with 3 RBI.  He had a homerun and double.
 
February 18 @ Morehead State
Shawnee State dropped their season opener to Division I Morehead State by a score of 5-3.  Dereck Heming took the loss as he gave up 4 runs in just 2 innings of work.  Brian Bachman was 2 for 4 on the day with a double.  Jon Estep and Fred Brassfield each homered for the Bears.
