The Special Events Committee and the Blue Crew teamed up for a Homecoming Week Pep Rally to get the basketball teams fired up for their big games against arch rival Cedarville.

The Committee handed out flyswatters that read, "Go Bears!  Swat the Yellow Jackets."

Shawn E. Bear mingled with Men's Basketball Head Coach Jeff Hamilton and Special Events Committee member Kim Robbins ('02)...

then danced with the cheerleaders...

and then revealed himself to be SSU President Rita Rice Morris!

Members of all the SSU sports teams were recognized.

WNXT Radio Sports Director Roger Gray (with mike) and PA Announcer Skip Hickman were on hand to introduce...

members of the women's basketball team...

and members of the men's basketball team.

Ralph "Home Team" Kavanaugh ('01) got the crowd fired up with a special cheer.

Both the women's and men's teams defeated Cedarville in that night's games.
