Alumni and Scholarship Awards Reception September 28, 2007 This year we combined two special campus events--the Scholarship Reception and the Alumni Awards Reception in order to bring current students and scholarship donors together with SSU graduates. It was a wonderful evening as our donors were able to see both what their philanthropy is currently doing and what it has done for past students. Current students were able to see what some of our alumni have accomplished and alumni were able to reunite with not only fellow alumni but also people who had made a difference in their college experience.
SSU President Rita Rice Morris catches up with Alumnus of Tomorrow Award Winner Jeanette Bauer Brammer ('07) and her husband, Erik ('07) while the Dr. Ben Webb Memorial Scholarship winner Jill Hamblin talks with her family.
Alumni Service Award Winner Brian Saul ('97) shares a laugh with scholarship donor Betty Morgan; Angela Henderson, Assistant Director, Development/Alumni Affairs, shares a laugh with Alumnus of Tomorrow Winner Jeanette Brammer ('07) and Denise Gregory ('76) enjoys an appetizer.
Mark Morgan gives a thumbs up as donors Tom and Joanne Charles strike a pose.
President Morris recognizes Denise Gregory ('76) and Sandy Davis ('86) for their participation in the "Making a Difference" alumni ad campaign.

Wilson Writing Scholarship for Poets), Deborah Bankhead (Veri Family Scholarship), Erica Walker (Arthur W. and Anne Carson Hossman Scholarship) and Andrew Sowkulech (American Legion Post 23 and Lillian Wiltshire Thomas scholarships) take a moment to thank their donors.
