What brought you to SSU?
My sister is a year ahead of me in school and she also attends SSU. Last year I would come down to visit her. I really liked the small campus feel versus a big campus. I felt more at home here. The people are very friendly and made me feel welcome. Also, the way the housing is set up was a major plus!

What has been your favorite Student Programing Board activity?
One year my roommate and I participated in the game, "How Well Do You Know Your Roommate." The game was set up like the newlywed game show and it was a ton of fun! We ended up winning the whole thing and got some awesome prizes!

Any advice for incoming freshmen?
Learn how to balance studying and social life! It is important to stay on top of your school work, but don't forget to set aside time for yourself to breathe and relax. Not only will you enjoy your college experience more, but it is a good tip to help you to be able to focus on anything when you need to.

What has been your favorite class and why?
My two favorite classes have been Intro to Legal Assisting because it is taught by a previous lawyer and we got to do a mock trial of an actual court case, and Zumba because it gives you a chance to have fun and reduce stress while still getting credit!

Intramural basketball and football. They are very competitive and I am able to play on the same team with my friends.

As hard as my nursing classes are, I really enjoy the things we get to learn about and see. I got to watch an above-the-knee amputation at one of my clinicals!

EDEC2285, a field experience class, has been my favorite so far. This was my favorite class because I was placed at a preschool and was able to experience and practice what I was learning in the classroom out in the field.
