Kentucky Scholars
All outstanding Kentucky students have an opportunity to attend Shawnee State University at the lower in-state tuition cost through the Kentucky Scholars Program — no matter where you live in the state.
Kentucky Scholars is a scholarship offered to new freshmen students from Kentucky who have achieved a composite score of 20 or higher on the ACT (combined mathematics and critical reading SAT scores of 940 or higher) and have a high school grade point average of at least 3.0 (4.0 scale).
Transfer students may quality for the scholarship with a minimum cumulative college grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
The scholarship is equal to the out-of-state surcharge, lowering your tuition to the in-state rate. The scholarship is renewable for three additional years contingent upon completing 28 semester hours per year and maintaining a cumulative grade point average of at least a 3.0.
