Shawnee State University to host Portsmouth Community Night

SSU will be hosting Portsmouth Community Night on Thursday, February 15.

Shawnee State will be hosting Portsmouth Community Night on Thursday, February 15. SSU welcomes the Portsmouth Community to campus to cheer on the Bears against Campbellsville University. Admission is free for all Scioto County residents.

In a pivotal Top-5 match-up, the No. 2 SSU Bears face No. 3 Campbellsville in what could potentially decide the MSC Championship race. Shawnee State enters the game on an 18 game win streak and stands on top of the MSC with a 10-0 record, 23-3 overall. The Campbellsville Tigers’ are 23-3 overall and 9-1 in the MSC. Their only loss in the conference was at the hand of the Bears, falling 73-63 on January 20 on their home court.

The men’s game will be a physical battle as the Bears (12-14 overall, 2-8 MSC) take on Campbellsville (19-7 overall, 4-6 MSC). Shawnee State is looking to avenge a 66-58 loss to the Tigers earlier this season.
