The approval will allow the university to offer more programs and courses in an online delivery format.
Shawnee State University has received approval of its request to offer distance education courses and programs by the Institutional Actions Council (IAC) of the Higher Learning Commission (HLC).
This authorization is a great milestone for SSU. The approval will allow the university to offer more programs and courses in an online delivery format without requesting permission or approval from the HLC first.
“As an institution of higher education, this approval will allow us huge efficiency in both time and energy now that we can identify and select additional programs and courses to deliver in an online delivery platform without having to request approval from the HLC,” said Becky Thiel, Dean of Graduate Studies and Assessment.
