Clark Planetarium to offer special showing of Dawn of the Space Age

The show begins at 7 pm on Friday, May 6.

The Clark Planetarium at Shawnee State University will be offering a special showing of Dawn of the Space Age at 7 p.m. on Fri., May 6. The show is a realistic 3D animated feature that begins with the launch of Sputnik and covers some of the most important Russian space history, as well as the America Gemini, Apollo and Shuttle programs. It will show glimpses of the Viking mission to Mars and the Voyager mission to outer planets and leads the audience to the International Space Station, the X-prize winning private space ship, and to the plans for future Mars exploration.

Following the show will be a brief live talk about Dawn of the Space Age.

Admission is free and open to everyone. The Clark Planetarium is located in the Advanced Technology Center building on campus.
