At its last meeting, the SSU Board of Trustees welcomed David Furbee as its newest member.
David Furbee of Huntington, West Virginia, has been appointed to the SSU Board of Trustees. The Board consists of nine voting members and two student members, appointed by the Governor.
“I am honored and excited for this opportunity and I look forward to working with the Board for the benefit of Shawnee State University,” said Furbee.
Furbee is a graduate of Marshall University where he received a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a Minor in Finance. Furbee moved to Jackson, Ohio 20 years ago upon accepting a job with Edward Jones as a Financial Advisor. He has successfully opened two additional Edward Jones offices in Jackson County. Furbee is extremely involved in the community where he serves as a board member with the local YMCA, Southern Hills Art Council Board, Markay Theater, Lion’s Club and Jackson Jaycee’s.
