Starting Sept. 23, SSU will be offering Zumba classes every Wednesday night.
Starting Sept. 23, Shawnee State University will be offering Zumba classes every Wednesday night at 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the West Sodexo Ballroom (Room 230) in the University Center.
Classes will run through Dec. 9 and will be taught by Danielle Keeton, a senior at SSU pursuing a degree in Gaming and Simulation Design. Keeton became certified to teach Zumba Basic 1 in March of 2015.
“Zumba is just a fun and fast-paced way to stay active. It helped me lose weight and keep off the famous freshmen 15,” Keeton said.
Admission will be $3 for SSU students and employees with current SSU I.D. and $5 for general admission.
Zumba classes are sponsored by SSU’s Office of Event and Conference Services.
