Shawnee State University’s Theatre Department will be finishing the 2014-2015 One
Acts season with productions directed by two senior theatre students, Tom Stoppard
and Marguerite Feitlowitz, at the Kahl Theater on April 23-25 and April 30-May 2 at
Stoppard’s play, The Real Inspector Hound, is a play within a play parody about two theater critics reviewing a murder mystery play until neither are clear where the line between “real” and fictitious is involving the circumstances of the play and actors.
Feitlowitz will be directing her translation of Griselda Gambaro’s Bad Blood (La Malasangre). The story depicts a father’s attempt to control and shelter his daughter by hiring a physically malformed tutor to dissuade any form of attachment; however, the father’s plan backfires and his reaction results in a shocking ending.
Tickets are available at the McKinley Box office and are $10 for the public, $8 for seniors and SSU faculty and staff, and $3 for SSU students. Tickets are also available online through Ticketmaster.
