Shawnee State University will be tackling education’s highly debated topics at the 2015 Community Educational Forums on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at the Teacher Education Building from 6 to 7:30 pm.
The event is the third annual series sponsored by the Southeast Ohio Teacher Development Collaborative (SEO-TDC) comprised of Shawnee State University, Marietta College, Muskingum University, Ohio University and University of Rio Grande.
The forums are designed to address two current issues, Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers (PARCC) and College Credit Plus, in public education to help communicate, clarify and inform current and future educators.
The Community Educational Forums are also designed to give students and parents better and more useful information about how students are being prepared for their future. The forums also explore how the State of Ohio is ensuring the students’ college readiness.
The Teacher Education Building is located at 954 4th Street, Portsmouth, Ohio 45662. Attendants are asked to arrive by 5:45 p.m.
