Assembly 10:00 a.m. April 20, 2004 Massie Auditorium The meeting was called to order by new chair Marcia Tackett who read the Mission Statement. Roll Call lists 17members in attendance. Meeting began with a presentation by Elinda Boyles, HR Director, accompanied by Denise Gregory, regarding the new HIPAA requirements. Handouts were distributed and explanations about the process offered. There was a question and answer period followed by an offer to contact HR if there are further questions. Announcements/Remarks from Chair/Executive Board Report: Marcia asked for a volunteer to attend the May meeting with Dr. Morris. Carol Sexton volunteered. These meetings have been helpful in establishing a good rapport with the president and she is happy to meet new people each month. There were no announcements from the USA Floor and Kathy Kratzenberg was not available to provide an update of CWA News. Committee Reports Election Committee: Still seeking nominations but should have everything ready for vote soon. Newsletter Committee: No report. Always gathering information. Spirit Committee: They are planning another picnic – some time in early July. University Wide Committees – no reports available. Unfinished Business: None. There being no new business, the meeting adjourned. |
