Institutional Review Board

What We Do

Welcome to the Shawnee State University Institutional Review Board (IRB) Website.  The purpose of the IRB is to review all research with human research participants that is conducted by individuals (faculty, staff, and students) associated with SSU and research involving the SSU, and students as research participants. 

Our goal is to provide protection for all human research participants. 

Meetings

The full IRB meets once a month during the academic year, from 3:00-5:00 pm, usually in the Provost’s Conference Room in 124 Massie Hall.  Below is a list of the single scheduled meeting for the Summer Semester and the first meeting of Fall Semester 2013.  If you would like to submit an application, please make sure that it is submitted at least five days before the scheduled meeting.
