 Presidential Charge to committee for 2011–2012

The Affirmative Action and Diversity Committee is a university-wide committee charged to ensure that Shawnee State is in compliance with applicable laws and has best-practices programming for its employees and students.  Specific responsibilities of the committee include, but are not limited to:

·      Calling to the President's attention, problems and concerns of an institutional nature relating to discrimination;

·
       Writing, reviewing, and recommending, as appropriate, policies and procedures; and

·        Planning and conducting education activities that will sensitize the university community on issues related to equal opportunity and affirmative action.
